I’m a bit late with this one. Anyway, HOTiSO released Apple’s latest iWork and you sure shouldn’t miss it.

    Okay so this tojan is only found on the pirated ones, if you want to get a clean copy go to http://iwork.com and download the trial and just put in a serial code for it :)

    Hope that helps all the Mac folk out there to stay Virus-Free

    i think those with trojans were distributed via torrents. this seems to be a scene release, which should have no trojans. can anyone else confirm?

    if it DOES have the trojan, here's how to get rid of it:

    1) (open Terminal.app)
    2) sudo su (enter password)
    3) rm -r /System/Library/StartupItems/iWorkServices
    4) rm /private/tmp/.iWorkServices
    5) rm /usr/bin/iWorkServices
    6) rm -r /Library/Receipts/iWorkServices.pkg
    7) killall -9 iWorkServices"

    can anyone verify is this is the release that is infected?
    and #8 stephen can you verify that your option works and if so can someone list the serial numbers so anyone who wants to take #8's route wouldn't need to download this..(that's only if it is infected) TY

    Just get the Trial version from iWork.com and just enter the Serial. You should be fine, no Trojans or whatever..

    yeah, like #8 said, just download the from apple.com or iwork.com, then get a serial
    or change a small piece in the configs or so to make it a full version, google for it

    This scene release is not infected.
    If you still don't want to download it, here's another way.

    1) Download the trial from Apple http://www.apple.com/iwork/download-trial/
    2) Register iWork with a serial from the nfo http://paste2.org/p/135073

    @17: scene release? i don't think so…it's the free trial from apple + sns created by a well known mac cracker for a well known macboard (see the term MOFO incl. in the sns?)

    @19: those are not all volume licences…one is NFR, one is volume and another is a retail license.

    @20: the retail version doesn't need a sn while the downloadable version does.

    @23: it's not a virus but a trojan – and indeed it is the first one which isn't proof-of-concept only.

    - install trial from apple
    - get PlistEdit: http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/plisteditpro/
    - go to HD > Library > Preferences/ com.apple.iWork09.Installer.plist
    - open with PlistEdit
    - change Install_mode from "Trial" to "Retail"
    - no serial required: now you have the retail version :)

    sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWork09.Installer InstallMode -string 'Retail'

    hit return

    I tried all this codes and none of them work for me…i downloaded the trial version from MAC and when i go and put the serial it tell me is no good…….yalls say it works so what am i doing wrong?
