Most good media players already have a screenshot option built in.

This isn’t guaranteed to work, but try turning off hardware acceleration in the player and then use a screenshot program to grab the window. Also, if using MPC, try switching to different renderers in the Output section of the prefs. I’m pretty sure that the screenshot programs fail because the players are using a hardware overlay and that needs to be disabled before you can make screenshots.
If that doesn’t work, try Hypersnap DX. I’ve never used it myself, but the website claims that it can save virtually any screen or window.

This app, along with 99% of them, sucks. Get an app that’s simple, fast and complete, “FSCapture”. I’ve used ALL of these things and this one is the best. It’s not for game screen shot captures though; use FRAPs for that. But for everything else, even web page captures, it’s great.

Don’t download and use/run #8’s post from rapidshare. It shows as a virus on virustotal.com from 26/36 engines. Not sure what exactly it is or how to remove it if you’ve used it already. It is a virus though. BTW, don’t trust anyone who posts any executables on here. Although some people are helping, just scan everything so you don’t have to guess based on how cool or inconspicuous someone’s name is.
