Here’s another “convert-dvd-to-any-format” software, released by group rG. By functions it’s similar to DVDFab.

    does it crop films as well? if not, anyone know of a converting software that crops?

    xVid4psp will output to mkv. Has the option for 3-pass encoding. Excellent Quality. Check it out. Great program. Can import anything and then output to anything. Check link below to download it.

    Check out the about link….its a link to a program called XviD4P. It will allow you to crop manually or auto crop.

    It does it all. There is no conversion this software cannot do!

    AND ITS FREE. NO CRACK NEEDED.

    Name of this program is a little misleading: “Any DVD” seems like an attempt to cash in on Slysofts famous “AnyDVD” program.

    @16 Homepage of theirs doesn’t say what it supports for OS’s.

    @1 why would you want to convert to mkv??? mkv is a blue ray rip or hd dvd rip thats been downsampled to mkv converting a film to mkv doesnt give you hd quality???? why do i bother ffs

    And yes it can convert Matroska. Your just an idiot and dont know how to use it. And its n00b friendly so that doesnt say much for your intellegence.

    XVID4PSP can convert any video format known to man!

    @19 mkv is just a a/v container…just like avi….just because it is mainly used for HD content doesnt mean you cant rip a DVD with the mkv container.

    @19 mkv is not exclusive to HD content. avi/xvid is capable of HD resolutions.

    @19 mkv was around before HD content was, so you can’t just assume that that’s all it’s for. It’s just a high quality format, which is probably why the guy wants to use it.

    Exactly when did Windows programmers come to the conclusion that listing the system requirements for their software was no longer necessary?

    Not only Any DVD, but while reading the comments, I saw a recommendation for XviD4PSP and decided to check it out. No system requirements listed anywhere on the site. I had to go to Google to find out that it only works under XP and Vista and that it needs the .NET framework.
