Another cool gadget: transparent toaster

toaster.jpg

Toasts. We all love them, people in England eat them every morning and they are so easy to prepare. Designers from concept studio Inventables realized that too and developed a slightly different tool for making toasts: first transparent toaster. You can now always check the colour of your toast because of transparent heating glass and avoid these burnt ones. This machine allows to heat only one toast at the time but your friends will be definetily surprised by the look of this. The only shame is this is only a concept, because the glass can’t get hot enough to toast the bread but may be it will be possible one day…

I have an even better one. A device you wear on your head, and you think really hard about how toasted you want the bread, go to the loaf and it’s toasted right out of the bag.

The only shame is this is only a concept ;)

I’d buy one if it were real tho, the more kewl see thru shit the better

If they want to imagine concepts that won’t work, why not create an automobile that travels from 0-200mph in 3 seconds and you can fold up and put into your pocket when you turn it off. Instead they think of a lame toaster?

Since we’re talking about shit that can’t be done, at least make it more interesting.

I think they should make a smart reply generator then threads like this would be more interesting.

It’s certainly possibly since glass’ melting point is above 4000 degrees. Don’t see why they can’t heat the glass up enough to actually toast it.

I do agree with Kevin that if they are goin’ to make conceptual products, why not make it more far-fetched or at the very least serve a more beneficial purpose.. Eventhough, I do see the other side of the coin in that this is feasible and that a pocket-car isn’t quite so.

There’s more.. Now that I look at that render it looks like someone took a picture of toast and then put it in their 3DS Max school project. Seriously, that render is funny.

Check the webpage, they have some more stupid (yet original) concepts there…

Well- since their main service is te sale of their “magazines” that showcase innovative manufacturing methods to designers and development teams, Id say that this a pretty successful project.

Who cares if its a bad render- its not an unrealistic idea.
