there's no .us scene anymore. just us suppliers, but they can use .eu sites aswell, as speeds us-eu raised to a very usable value nowadays. core of the scene has always been and will be in europe.

There's a whole lotta bullshit being talked here. Scene using hacked servers? hahahaha

Maybe the FXP board scene, but that's no more "the scene" than the bittorrent trackers are.

I appreciate the p2pers that release their own stuff. In the past i did too, tvrips, but i move on to bigger things, with bigger rewards and, yes, bigger risks. I don't like p2pers spreading stuff i released intended to be shared only with other sceners, but it happens, so fuck it.

@Knarkoffer

P2P release _lots_ of stuff, you just need to know the sites. And prd made a good point.

"THEY are the easy targets while the mass of p2pers are releasing more and more original stuff every day.."

You don't actually think that p2p people release things, now do you?

Enough of that "scene" bullshit.
To all the self proclaimed oh-so-1337 "sceners" who think it's good to whine and cry when they get caught, I suggest they go take some lessons from p2pers.. lol.
As you are too busy feeding your ego you couldn't notice.. but nowadays any motherfucker can distribute shit efficently on p2p, without having to buy/hack huge servers (which is what makes the operation insecure), because with p2p the network itself takes care of the distribution.
Those idiots who keep using central servers what they expect the police to do other than easily notice and fuck them? THEY are the easy targets while the mass of p2pers are releasing more and more original stuff every day.. and almost no one ever got caught.
Evolve or die.

Scene goes with insecurity most of the time. There's still a lot of way to secure it. No .eu sites and an encryption of the files can be a solution maybe. Anyway, busts are parts of the game like a leecher can be caught. We have to face our responsability sometimes even if i dont think the internet piracy should be punished especially by 10 years of jail in usa :/.

torrent dudes should stick to releasing shit they capped/ripped/whatever themselves.

There was a non-colo busted as well. Sure, colos are insecure, but non-colos aren't infallible...
