Angels And Airwaves - I-Empire (2007)

This is a guest post submitted to my email by Andre. Thanks!

The new Angels and Airwaves CD, I-Empire, has finally hit retail shelves. The continuation of the first album, “We Don’t Need to Whisper”, band leader Tom Delonge, formerly of Blink-182, brings a new rock sound to the scene. Enjoy this fine scene release!

Angels & Airwaves first single “Everything’s Magic,” is a synth-rock anthem that resonates with a refreshing spirit and inspired energy. “Just sit back and hold on tight,” sings Tom DeLonge in the song, offering sound advice for the entire album.

Angels & Airwaves is former blink-182 & Box Car Racer guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge, Offspring drummer Atom Willard, David Kennedy notably from Hazen Street and Box Car Racer and now former 30 Seconds to Mars bassist Matt Wachter. (Bassist Ryan Sinn, formerly of The Distillers, departed from the band earlier this year). I-Empire, Angels & Airwaves second album was written and produced by Tom DeLonge.

I like this band, unfortunately Tom Delonge is a moron who thinks waaay too much of himself. I saw them at reading festival this year and at the end of the show he says “you’re welcome!”

    idiot

aside from that, they make good music. Its just unfortunate about thir frontman

If you have the first cd, then don’t bother with this one because they sound exactly the same. I can’t hear any difference in any songs on this album so it all just melds together into one huge boring long song. Don’t waste your time unless you’re a die hard fan, but then again who really could be of these guys?

There is actually a Japanese “rock” band called AAA. You can check out a video here —-> http://www.veoh.com/videos/v986662JTRNMkF8

And Martin, thanks for this. You guys have directed me to some truly good music (stuff I like anyway), so I will check this one out too!

This IS some good music. Even though I still miss blink-182 and I think the three of them together were better, I still love this band and its music

Woah! Never heard of this band before…till now. Liked a couple of tracks which had a bit of blink182 feel to them. Overall great album!
