Anamorph 2007 RERIP PROPER R5 XVID-iGNiTE

After DOMiNO released the first R5 of this movie, iGNiTE came out with a PROPER that was intended to fix bad ivtc. Now it’s iGNiTE again, with a RERIP PROPER for their own release. Quoting the NFO: “This release has been done properly and more responsibly”. Video looks kind of blurry, audio is standard.

Synopsis: Willem Dafoe (THE ENGLISH PATIENT) plays an NYPD detective who grapples with a string of unusual serial murders, perpetrated by a killer who fashions himself an artist. As the detective investigates the brilliantly composed crime scenes, he draws closer to a mystery that may end up implicating himself. H.S. Miller wrote and directed this moody psychological thriller.

I watched the other release, didn’t find anything wrong with it. What’s ‘bad ivtc’?

Willem Dafoe must of been hard up for cash to make this piece of crap.

    isn’t this one nuked?

  6. April 27th, 2008 | 19:48

lol the nuker was an idiot as its impossible to ivtc PAL. ivtc means inverse telecine which is going from 29.97 FPS to 23.976 FPS, but you never do anything to a PAL (25 FPS) source.

I watched the first DOMiNO release, am a big fan of this type of movie… but it is seriously BAD, like a TV movie with Willem Dafoe, terrible plot, horrible acting.

I think when it recieves more votes on IMDB the score will dramatically lower

    just my 2 cents

what a minute!! this is from other post:

“Quality: The image quality of this R5 looks very good. Naturally not as finely touched up as a region 1 release, but that is to be expected. Audio is good, not great. A release definitely worth the download. HF.”

So what was wrong with it then??

FYI: IVTC’ing also exists on PAL material. Sometimes you need to IVTC movies that have been “cheaply” converted from film fps to PAL fps, so they contain duplicate frames. IVTC might be a wrong term here, it’s more like “dupe removal” but nonetheless the result is still 23.976 fps. It is not common, but it is something that’s out there.

    I understand this right?
    1. DOMINO: wrong AR
    2. iGNiTE comes with a PROPER of Dominos and then
    3. with a blurry PROPER of its own PROPER?

    i guess i’ll skip this.

Is it me or does there seem to be a lot of film releases getting nuked lately?.
    Even some tv releases.
E.g. The Tudors missing some time at the end of each episode.

Just thinking some more about nuked releases.
I think it would be a great idea if Rlslog could say if a film that was nuked, was or is still perfectly watchable.
Only thing that practically puts me off watching is if it is out of sync.
It would save people a lot of downloading.
Nothing worse than dl the same movie a couple of times.
    Just my opinion.

WHy not add PAR’s to the RS links & etc? I mean, they save you a lot of trouble in the usenet arena, and they aren’t hard to make. A set of Pars would fix the issues and prevent it from happening again. I think All direct downloads should have PARs, people pay for these accounts, who wants to waste time downloading just to get one bad rar, when an extra 10 min tapped onto the download pretty much solves it all, or make the PAR’s a separate download…
