Amiga Forever Plus Edition v2008-PANTHEON

For all of you “retro and geek” souls here Amiga Forever can bring some of your “good ol’ days” memories back - when Amiga was the big deal! Amiga Forever Plus Edition v2008 is actually collection of Amiga stuff like emulators, games, programs and so on. You can even boot it as LiveCD. Although Plus Edition contains 3 DVD’s PANTHEON decided to release (as they wrote in NFO) first and most important one. Those two (unreleased) are just some extra content with video stuff.

Description: Amiga Forever is the award-winning Amiga preservation, emulation and support package brought to you by Cloanto, Amiga developers since 1986. This Premium Edition blends high-quality software and original content with the ultimate set of videos to chronicle and let you experience firsthand the history, culture, challenges and passion behind the Amiga.

Amiga Forever 2008 is the most significant upgrade ever released in the Amiga Forever series. It sets new references in usability while more than tripling the featured content and providing easy access to a universe of free downloads. Amiga Forever 2008 was rewritten from scratch to redefine itself and the perception of emulation and retro gaming in general.

New features in Amiga Forever 2008 include:

  • Revolutionary new and intuitive player interface for Windows, for easy selection and playback of games and other content
  • The new Amiga Forever player makes it possible to double-click or drag-and-drop downloaded disk images (e.g. ADF, ADZ, IPF, etc.) to play them, using heuristic content analysis to preset a suitable Amiga hardware configuration
  • The player has built-in support for dual screens and multiple emulation sessions
  • Rather than closing an emulation session, it is possible to save its state, for example to resume a game at a later time
  • Full undo of ADF, ADZ, HDF and HDZ disk writes (disk changes may be committed or discarded when exiting the emulation)
  • Full support for Windows Vista x86 and x64 (probably the first and only Windows software with custom-shaped glass-enabled skin)
  • Content more than tripled (disk images are now compressed, and also used directly by the installer)
  • New “Amiga Forever Game Pack I” (more than 100 games)
  • More than 100 beautiful demoscene productions
  • And more…

The term “geek” is hardly an insult in this day and age. More often than not it equates not only to a person of higher intelligence but also income.

Well I’m sorry, but GENERiC, I find your attitude towards comments quite out of order. I cant fault you on your post count but telling comment posters to ‘F’ off is just wrong. If anything edit or delete their posts but please dont resort to flaming battles. There are enough idiots posting obcenities on here without editors doing the same.

After the recent troubles I have stayed on the fence, and still am, but I find your attitude to be lowering the quality of this site, which lets be honest, is the complete opposite of what this site needs right now.

Please dont take my comments as flaming, I am merely pointing out my opinion and hoping that things will starft to get better around here.

To briefly summerize, keep up the posts, they are appreciated, but please dont lower yourself to the level of the idiots.

    August 13th, 2008 | 03:14

@uk girl - I will post rapidshare links in 5 minutes

@ mikeb, in response to about r5 dvd’s.
I don’t know how much background you have on the topic so I’ll just explain everything.
An R5 DVD is one that is released in these countries: http://www.free-codecs.com/guides/pictures/dvd_region_map.gif The release of R5’s in Russia so quickly after theatrical releases is to prevent sales of pirated DVDs of TS or CAM rips of movies - an attempt to compete with the bootleggers. Hence the R5 DVDs that are released have Russian Audio, but this is synced up with English audio taken from previous lower quality releases (eg cams TS or TC). Because R5 DVDs are packed and distributed quickly, they are often of a lower quality than what will eventually come out as a retail DVD, so are not looked on as highly as the ‘genuine’ copies.
Sorry if you knew half of that already but I’m sure someone will find it handy.

@19 this isnt kiddiespace or some gameforum where speaking your mind is frowned upon. It’s better to letting people spout their junk and responding to it, especially if theyre accusing you of stealing non-copyrighted texts.. If he had just deleted it; the people that had time to read it would think it was true.

    The funny thing about Rlslog:
    They don’t supply the torrents
    They don’t supply the tracker
They don’t supply RS download links
    They don’t supply mirrors
They just post a notice: ‘XY is out’ and at best a link to someone’s torrent, AFTER it has been posted on other sites like *blocked by martin* or http://irfree.com

Than all the fanboys jump in the comments asking for RS links or torrents… guess what, the stuff you get here in the comments is content that other sites provided… but instead of visiting the original sites you’re flaunting how awesome rlslog is… funny if you think about it… isn’t it… (no, not really :( )

TYPING ERROR. GO RELEASELOG, SOMEBODY SHOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING WHEN ALL THE RACIAL SLURS ARE GOING AROUND. BUT SAY SOMETHING ABOUT A EDITOR ITS A PROBLEM.

  52. SpliffDonkey
    August 13th, 2008 | 06:25

@51 mikeb - To be perfectly honest I would prefer to read this site with NO slurs, be they racist, homophobic, just plain rude or whatever. Now to be realistic, it would be difficault to stop it happening, but one thing we should not expect is to see offensive comments from editors. An editor carries a position of responsibility, and as such should not lower themselves to post comments that may cause offence. Sure, if someone says something an editor doesn’t like and the editor does not want to edit or delete their post then at the very least they should respond in a mature and civilised way, becoming of their status as editor.

Delete or ban for flaming or posting racist sh!te but not because you don’t like what someone has to say. If you want to do that you need to F@ck off to Russia where they appreciate censorship of points of view.

can someone tell me how do i extract the pnt-qxp8.001 files?

tried to join them with HJ Split but still it doesnt have any type of extension

    thanx :)

  88. SpliffDonkey
    August 13th, 2008 | 23:17

    @87-maique

Providing you have WinRar installed, right click on the pnt-qxp8.000 file and select open with WinRar. Now click on extract to (in the WinRar toolbar), this will extract the BIN/CUE which you will then have to mount in Daemon Tools.

Hope that helped, if not please ask and I’ll try to explain it again.

    no pass.. working”

No its not, it to is missing these 2 required files to unrar the ISO

DOES a real working version really exist and were are these two files to compleate the download to fully unpacket the original….

is this site going to allowed to get filed with ex editors posting bogus CD/DVDs links that dont actually work. even the good old newtorrents since it came back after the downtime doesnt seem to have people uploading these RSL advertised APPS there never mind fully working ones, shame its come to this in such short time.

even the so called beter than rls links that people have posted about here cant seem to stay up for more than a few refreshes before they disapear for hours at a time, so they are not really usable eather….. sad really, and we all loss as we dont click any advertising links because we cant get easy access to fully working download and so make he effort to reward those that try and keep it flowing for free, who in their right n=minds payed for USENET or pay for downloads links.

id sooner go back to free end user FTP sites than pay some advertiser cash thats released for free…. how about you!

will RLS return to real service and fully working torrent links for everythig posted here ASAP, thanks to those that are trying to keep it really free as its always ment to have been since the fidonet days.

if you think im going to ever click on these new “congratulations you have been chosen” inline text adverts your sadly mistaken, after the likes on NebuAd have tryed to take away my privacy and unlawfully wiretap my ISP connection, NO advertiser will ever get a single known dime from me ever again….

@96 : seems that 7zip does not like the archive… use The Extractor instead to unzip (http://www.download.com/The-Extractor/3000-2250_4-10624213.html?hhTest=1)
