American Meth 2008 DOCU DVDRip XviD-RiTALiN

A pretty unknown scene gup RiTALiN released an STV documentary American Meth. This is obviously about amphetamine, a drug which is used from late 1880s until now. Directed by Justin Hunt and narrated by Val Kilmer.

In this even-handed exposé, former broadcast journalist Justin Hunt examines meth use throughout the Western US, traveling from Portland, OR to Roswell, N.M., and a number of blue-collar stops in between. Narrated by Val Kilmer, who played a meth-addicted musician in 2002’s The Salton Sea, the director backtracks to the birth of amphetamine in the late-1800s, which leads to methamphetamine in the early-1990s, before returning to the present (as fellow New Mexico resident Kilmer notes, Adolf Hitler was a regular user). For the most part, Hunt focuses on addicts, police officers, politicians, health providers, and social workers. As one man, who lost a friend to the drug, poetically laments, “It’s the devil’s serum, and it leads you nowhere but into hell.” Kalispell Police Chief Frank Garner agrees.

    Um yeah, heres my PSA:

    Amphetamine - speed, adderall, etc
    Methamphetamine - (crystal) meth, etc

    While both stimulants, they are considerably different drugs, as is Ritalin, which is Methylphenidate.

    Amphetamine (speed/wizz) and Meth are different.

    Just like Cocaine and Crack are different. You may start with one to produce the other, but they have different affects on the body.

    Ecstasy (MDMA - 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine) is an amine, and again has very different affects.

    The documentry is about METH….not amphetamines…
    Talking about methampthetamines history without going in to amphetamines isn’t possible.

    I wouldn’t call opium and heroine the same…but oxycontin and heroine are about as close to each other as meth and amphetamines are. Ive only done heroine though so can’t comment..

    I think amphetamines are cleaner, give you energy without much of a “high” feeling except for easier breathign…

    while meth is much more than just energy..you do it you really feel high, more focused, a bit jittery along with the energy boost.

    Just my experiences..

    I used to take adderall when i was like 16 or somthin; that stuff used to make going to work enjoyable. Working was fun on adderall, then the night comes and your diick goes lymp and you sit for hours restless, trying to fall asleep. I hate adderall. Meth is all for the high, your so sped up you don’t know what to do anyways, let alone hold a job. Meth is bad for you.
    @19 Meth is used when cutting pure MDMA all the time, most Extasy these days is 50-70% methamphetamine and 30-50% MDMA.

    @20 Heroin and opium are two very different things indeed; Heroin is a dirivitive of Opium. Opium > Morphine/Oxy Codone > Heroin. Herion is the devils candy; and its on hell of a rush : ) Yet not worth the withdrawl. Subs are good.

    DRUGS ARE BAD!!! except for weed.

    #18 is exactly right. Ritalin is NOT considered to be an amphetamine even though the effects are very similar. Adderall on the other hand is a combination of amphetamine salts that ARE considered to be amphetamines.

    Ritalin = Methylphenidate
    Adderall = Mixed Amphetamine salts
    Meth = Methamphetamine

    Both meth and A.D.D. meds are called “speed”, however “speed” usually refers to meth. Crank, ice, and crystal meth are all nicknames for methamphetamine. Desoxyn is a prescription for severe A.D.D. and other mental illnesses where methamphetamine is the main active ingredient.

    meth\ice will get you buzzed for days- its cool, ritalin is like dexamphatamines that children and some adults with add take to stay in control they are pharmacy drugs that are prescribed and don’t get you high, I think they are used to cut the meth and ice down instead of baking powder etc.

    might watch this but there have been heaps of meth documentary over the last 5 years, val kilmer must love the meth

    mmmm… methy goodness….
    .. a ridculously enticing substance ….. I did it in college, all night study sessions were easy, my grade avg went from B’s to A+’s [deans list] for a straight year …. then I went back to being my B avg and realized it wasn’t doin it for me any longer and I got away from it. What helped as well was seeing the condition that it leaves most addicts in, it tears the body apart. I was lucky to witness the black market aspect because that gave me perspective on how hardcore users look/act after long term usage, that helped immensely in my ability to walk away from it. It can be used as a tool, but long term usage will wreck your mind and soul.
