Guys, honestly, without AMD, we would all still be paying for some NETBURST crap.

Yay, Intel beats AMD in the top market for CPUs(They have been switching places for years!!). But let me ask a question…If you work all summer and use that money to buy an Intel Quad Core@3ghz for $1,000 Are you really “1337″ or just a tool. Schmucks.

AMD business store were giving a free Phenom quad core when you buy any mobo. I picked up an Asus M3A mobo + Phenom 9600 for 60 GB Pounds. Not bad!

Any further details in regard to yuor comments. A link or website would be good

i just build my own processor…its a super octacore with 11GHz clock speed. Basically, it means that it will blow your head off if you’re not careful.

Well, AMD still fights (and wins) in lower segments of the market and until recently it was still viable in the middle. As for graphics cards HD3xxx are pretty good value for the money and HD3870 is quite a bang for a buck. I still prefer Nvidia because of the Linux drivers

High-end stuff is mostly prestige related as most of people buy regular stuff. AMD seems to be gearing towards really new aproach to CPU/GPU solutions but it still seems like a distant future and for now it will have to take the beating from Intel.

I wonder if the people dissing AMD can afford those Intel processors that are really worth it – given that we are on a site that kinda promotes copyright infrigement and implies that we are all cheap bastards

I´m crying, here in Argentina the X2 4200+ cost u$s 90, X2 5000+ u$s 160, and the minimal law month salary is u$s 380. We are slave and here is the garbage bin of the world.

amd still playing catch up with intel, intel is by far winning the cpu and nvidia is owning ati/amd in gpu race as well…amd really needs to step up again and bring out something good…so we can have price wars!!?!?!
