You can tell they aren’t fake if you just look closely. If you examine the pics for a bit, you can see which pieces of trash form certain parts of the shadow. An easy one is to look at the pans on the last pic. You can tell how the shape of the pan bottoms form the bulges at the back of his legs, and how the edge of one pan viewed sideways forms his coattail.
It’s pretty clever.

@18: Light sourcing doesn’t work that way. If you cast the shadow from the back (ie, to fake it), the obviously visible lights being cast on the front of the garbage would mess up your backlit shadow.
I’m also betting these are being cast onto wood or a similar substance, which would totally eliminate this possibility.

They are well in front of the main piles and therefore cropped from the pic, the blured shadows are a result of the “pee items?” being closer to the light source that the main structure, it’s very clever using different perceptions of depth to create the shadows that make up the whole.
Very nice, HUGE ups to the Artist.

These are obvious photoshops. The shape of the trash doesn’t allow for such fine details like what are shown in the shadows. Take the man standing up pissing for example. Notice that there is a small object with many holes, supposedly casting a shadow of a solid human being?
