Alter Bridge is an American rock band formed by Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips (former members of Creed), with Myles Kennedy (lead vocals and guitar formerly of The Mayfield Four).
Alter Bridge released their debut album One Day Remains on August 10, 2004 along with their first single “Open Your Eyes”, which was followed by “Find The Real” and “Broken Wings”. They are set to release their second album, Blackbird on October 9th, 2007. Their first single of the album, “Rise Today”, was released on July 30th, 2007.

AJ or Martin, can I suggest you don’t bother promoting “main steam” music on your website please, I don’t get it. Just because people buy the music, doesn’t means its worthy of download, or that the artists are talented, or even doing anything to help music, or the world! Chances are they are just trying to make a buck, or die trying, and you guys are just helping them along with these awful artists that you post as “music”. I know there is much better music out there that does create emotion just like these horrible (Young Buck)main steam bands, but they thankfully don’t have the showmanship polish(studio producing).

Alter Bridge are not mainstream, have you actually heard this album, some seriously good guitar work from Mark Tremonti, a seriously talented vocalist in Myles Kennedy who has brilliant range and power. Overall it’s more worthy of downloading than most mainstream emo-kid rock and bling bling urban music that’s out there lately.

Like it or not Mark Tremonti wasn´t a bad player even if he was in creed….he has been always quite a decent one.
I liked the first album of alter bridge but i dont like much this one.
From all the new albums i definitely like the most the ones of Motion City Soundtrack, Foo Fighters and Puddle of Mudd ones.

I’m not saying there’s not better - I’m into melodic death metal and some bands in that genre have amazing guitar solos, but as far as modern rock goes I’d say Alter Bridge are right up there, compared with say, another mainstream rock band like Breaking Benjamin

i think Coheed & Cambria are probably one of the best bands today, and they aren’t really “mainstream”, claudio sanchez is an amazing guitarist and a talented authur, most mainstream music does suck, because once most bands become mainstream they become commercial and lose their artistic value and try to make more mainstream music to please the mainstream that look for cheap, pop sounding, catchy tunes instead of heavily thought music… but there are some bands who maintain some artistic value while being mainstream, i think the coldplay matrial from X&Y is quite good concidering they are very mainstream..

Here goes… Armand you need to really discover what rock music and metal are all about. The only thing buckethead managed to do was get kicked out of a fake guns n roses band.Mark Tremonti is one of the most influential guitarist of the past decade(Many metal and rock magazines consider him to be on the same stage as slash and dimebag darrell). Like them or hate them Creed redefined rock when it was at it’s lowest and put it back on the map.Creed wasn’t commercial, there music became popular by their amazing performances and huge fan following. The thing most fans came to revile about creed was Scott Stapp. Myles Kennedy may not have the persona of Stapp but everything that people loved about Creed is what makes alter bridge so great. Seriously the riffs by tremonti on this album are unbelievable.there are very few guitarist in the world that can shred and solo like Tremonti(steve vai is the best ever at this).so please comparing buckethead to a talented musician like tremonti is like comparing weird al to hendrix. Anyways from a true metal lovers perspective this album kicks butt, so give it a shot! You won’t regret it…Peace!

I’ve actually listened to the album (got it from Mininova, since the torrent link is STILL missing), and I have to say I was a bit disappointed.
I loved the song “Rise Today”, but next to that song there isn’t much to the album. It’s all very much the same, just like their last album (except “Metalingus”). Creed suffered from the same problem, never really changing, but always doing the same thing.
It’s not bad if you like this kind of music, but the album doesn’t blow you away either.
Your right it doesn’t blow you away but it doesn’t suck either. They are what they are remnants of a super rock band trying to reinvent their careers. But I think that Creed rocks has a point in that Tremonti is one of the most talented rock guitarist around. Armand’s comments about buckethead fascinate me though. Everyone has their own opinion on what they like and don’t like.I was blown away by the guitarwork on “Come alive”, “whitenuckles”, “Buried alive” and “Ties that Bind “. Some of the other songs I wasn’t really impressed with. Quadrupel it suprises me that you liked one day remains and do not like this album. The guitarwork as well as Kennedy’s vocals have meshed much better than on their previous album. All in all I give this album 3 out 5 stars.
Who cares? I do not know why people invest so much time talking about this awful band. I hope this tripe defines the end of them once and for all.
