Allan Quatermain and the Temple of Skulls 2008 PROPER DVDRip XviD-BACKUP
A not really well known scene group BACKUP (63 releases in their history) released a proper of action movie Allan Quatermain and the Temple of Skulls. This R-rated flick stars Sean Michael in the role of Allan Quatermain who is kind of STV Indiana Jones. The proper reason is that the previous release was a p2p reencode – if you had downloaded that release from group TRG, you can just ignore this proper, it’s the same thing. This release also contains hardsubbed English subtitles for parts of movie with Zulu audio.
H. Rider Haggard’s classic adventure novel King Solomon’s Mines gets retold for a new generation of cliff-hanger fans in this film that finds titular hero Allan Quartermain setting out in search of the most valuable treasure known to man.

lol I remember watching and enjoying the “King Salomon” part of this story back in the days. Even if its STV quality, it was still a very enjoyable family flick.

Note that the character Allan Quatermain pre-dates Indiana Jones by almost a hundred years, but yeah, this film is just making him into Indy, and sounds pretty terrible from reviews.

The Indiana Jones character is actually based on the original Quatermain character. Spielberg used many of H. Rider Haggard characteristics from the novel King Solomon’s Mines that was first published in 1885. Myth states that Quatermain was originally a British soldier in the colonial wars but he remained in Africa due to restrictions of contemporary civilisation, which in literary terms also can be interpreted as a revolt against the industrial revolution from Haggard’s point of view and a basic fin de siecle anxiety.
