All Hat 2007 Limited DVDRiP XviD-iNTiMiD

Group iNTiMiD came with a new dvdrip of limited western All Hat. IMDB lists this movie under western and comedy categories but I can’t really imagine a combination of these two genres. Anyway, it’s a Canadian production with $5m budget and cute Rachael Leigh Cook starring in the main role. Ripped to classic 1 CD release.

An ex-con returns to his rural Ontario roots and outwits a corrupt and wealthy thoroughbred owner trying to take over a slew of local farms. Ray Dokes, a charming ex-ballplayer, returns from jail to discover the rural landscape of his childhood transformed by urban development. A film noir reminiscent of the stories of Elmore Leonard, ALL HAT is adapted from the novel by Brad Smith; Smith also penned the screenplay. Determined to stay out of trouble, Ray heads to the farm of his old friend Pete Culpepper, a crusty Texas cowboy who trains losing racehorses and whose debts are growing faster than his corn. Sonny Stanton, gambling addict and spoiled heir to a thoroughbred dynasty, is in the process of buying up an entire concession of farmland to build a casino and golfing resort, and the only one brave enough to stand in the way of Sonny is Etta Parr, Ray’s old flame, who might be willing to forgive Ray if it wasn’t for her pride and common sense.

“Hollywood has been granted another victory in its war against piracy, this time at the expense of two linking sites that the Motion Picture Association of America believes profited from enabling copyright infringement. Both ShowStash.net and Cinematube.net have been hit with multimillion dollar judgments recently for copyright infringement of various movies and TV shows.”

“but I can’t really imagine a combination of these two genres”

Blazing Saddles and City Slickers combined the 2 genres nicely. Hell, Blazing Saddles is a classic!!

Guess the RLS Team doesn’t have to resort to basic math to be funny ;)

@ 15 and 20…I KNOW you ARE aware of the HUUUGE amount of blockbuster movies that come out of Canada…And if your NOT aware of it,thats just to bad for you i guess :-P …But incase you forgot, most EVERY country has good/bad movies…This movie never even hit theaters,so there should be NOT MUCH expected of it…And well,at least it TAKES PLACE in Canada…Enough movies are filmed here and pretending to be in the USA anyhow,so that in it self is GOOD to see…If the movie is GOOD or not is another story of course…But getting all “patriotic” about movies is pretty pathetic,as if crossing some imaginary line in the land all of the sudden changes people from “bad” to “good”…

I am sory for your limited imagination :)
Some people above named Blazing Saddles. Well, let me add to that “Cherokee kid” and “El Diablo”, 2 great examples of good comedy-westerns. Lightning Jack is not bad either.

All I can say about American vs Canadian film making is that X-files was never the same when it moved from Vancouver.

I think one of the reasons I like Supernaturals so much is its done in Vancouver by some of the people behind the first incarnation of the X-files. Before it went all super-conspiracy and mulder left.

OT POST BUT SOMETHING TO CONSIDER READING (I thought it was good for a laugh)

$4 Million In Fines For Linking To Infringing Files
Posted by Soulskill on Sunday May 25, @10:13AM

I Don’t Believe in Imaginary Property writes “The MPAA won judgments totaling $4M against two sites which merely link to infringing content. They’re not arguing that it’s an infringement of their distribution right, like the RIAA has with their ‘making available’ argument. Instead, they got the sites for ‘contributory copyright infringement’, just like RIAA v. LimeWire. To translate all that legalese into English, search engines which primarily index copyright-infringing material and the people who run them may not be safe in the US. That applies even if the sites in question do not host any infringing materials, participate in, or encourage the infringement done by their users. And, even honoring DMCA notices in order to take advantage of the DMCA Safe Harbor provisions hasn’t prevented the **AA from suing.”

Excuse me… I would like you to correct the error in this post.

The movie’s name is spelled wrong.

The movie’s title should be ASS HAT.

This movie sucks too much for you guys to even bother inform us about it.

I hope the director and the whole film crew get aids and die a slow painful death by burning. That’s how much this movie sucks, they deserve it.
