Inactive TV group WSLR comes out with a PREAIR of new show Aliens in America. This is WSLR’s first TV release in two months, it would almost be worth for that one member of that group (it’s obviously, a one man show) for him to fold and join another more popular TV group so he can keep more busy. Justin Tolchuk is a sensitive, lanky 16-year-old just trying to make it through the social nightmare of high school in Medora, Wisconsin, with the help of his well-meaning mom Franny, aspiring-entrepreneur dad Gary, and his popular sister Claire, who is sweetly unaware of how good-looking she is. Back to the subject. I don’t know about Wisconsin, but I’ve never seen any Muslim-directed abuse here in New York. People here seem pretty tolerant toward Muslims or any other minorities present in the city. There can be occasional “goddamn blacks/jews/gays/Muslims/Mexicans” murmurs now and then, but, frankly, I rarely see an intelligent person saying something among those lines or anybody saying this in his/her full voice. Whenever that happens, the vast majority of people tends to react negatively, to say at least.

In fact, most journalists seem to be sincerely compassionate towards the sufferings of Arab men and women (yes, I do realize that most Muslims are not Arabs, but I’m speaking of the war in the Middle East) and tend to be very critical of the Bush administration and their foreign policies.

Some articles I read earlier seem to suggest that the current president of the USA and the policies of his administration are not held to be popular by a majority of the Americans? Is it true? If so then again, maybe the minority is getting the upperhand.
Did you know that the Quran has a passage which reads “Let there be no compulsion in relegion” and another “To you be your religion and me mine.” Many think that there are passages which state that war or the sword is also propagated in the Quran. Yes the minority is getting the upper hand, and they get it by getting a lot of support from the majority of peace loving people, we must remember that all human beings on this planet love peace, it comes to us naturally! I just watched this show y-day, and i found it to be somewhat of a bother. I understand where they are going with the show, but they could’ve at least gotten a real Muslim to play as the kid and not a Hindu, plus he doesn’t know how to recitate the shahada properly or pray correctly. But overall the racial remarks are quite funny.

14 of the 19 people that attacked the United States on September 11th were Saudis, and the other 5 were Afghani/Pakistani so it’s not too big of a stretch for us to only be suspicious of “brown” Muslims, nor are we out of line for being suspicious of Saudis, who are almost entirely Wahabists.
No, I don’t hate Muslims. I have a few Muslim friends, and I have been to a mosque before. I think it’s silly to point the finger at Islam itself, but I don’t have a problem with questioning the “brown” folks (depending on the geographic origin of their “brownness,” of course).
