The reason I choose to post this is not that I like the singer. All I know about Alexandra Burke is that she’s the winner of this year’s “The X Factor”. The true reason is I like the song. I have heard a few versions of this song and I like every version of it. I heard it on “Lost”, I heard it on “One Tree Hill”, and now I heard it from Alexandra. Got a feeling she could be the next Leona Lewis!

Jeff Buckley used his creative genius to produce this song, followed by years of touring to bring it to the world's attentions.
Even then he had to die in a tragic accident in the Wolf River to get his song up to the top of the charts.
What a mockery when a teenage masturbater's pin up girl murders the song that he wrote and takes it straight to #1

Honestly, music snobs always come crawling out the woodwork when they think one of 'their' songs has been disrespected.
I don't like the song at all, any version, but I don't feel the need to think its an insult to the original or Jeff Buckley.
John Cale's cover version of Leonard Cohen's song was covered by Jeff Buckley. Even then, if it wasn't for the producer Andy Wallace (Aerosmith) who blended together different Buckley versions that recording would be very different. Add in lots of promotion by Sony of this studio creation and what is the difference between this recording and that by Alexandra Burke? It's just a style choice. The method is the same.
There's lots of great versions of this song. Support independent artists before those who let their recordings be shaped by the major record labels.
She has a VERY masculine face in that picture, it's creepy. If she didn't have a really slender jaw and eyelashes, she could totally pass off as a guy.
If Alexandra Burke wasn't a woman, she could be a man. If Jeff Buckley wasn't a man, he could be a woman.

I sometimes wonder why I use this site,been using it for a while and its a great site and great posts but the comments have gotten worse over time, come on guys this is just bad and really childish. The racism and hate that goes up on here.
You bring it down, the comments are meant to be useful for people wanting to know how good or bad something is. But to act like arses just because someone did something you did not like or is not your race is real dumb.
