Alexandra 2007 DVDRip XviD-RESERVED
A Russian war drama Alexandra which was released in the R5 rip recently is now available in the final dvdrip by group RESERVED. The previous R5 rip from DPK had Russian audio so it was pretty much useless for majority of people, but this dvdrip is all fine - audio is still Russian as it’s a Russian movie but there are English subtitles included.
Director A. Sokurov tells the story of an ailing grandmother who struggles to visit her grandson, an officer in the Russian army, in a camp in Chechnya during that region’s current civil war. The director manages to avoid shots of battle and death and instead concentrates intensely on the landscape of the camp and town and, tellingly, of his leading actress’ face, the great Russian opera soprano Galina Vishnevskaya.
