And finaly 3rd: Well… the whole buy\rent vs. “steal” discussion… This is a prime case for my argument FOR downloading. If you make a documentary like this and if you participate in it, you shouldnt expect to make money, you should do it for the hell of it. Therefor you should be happy if as many people as possible get to see it and have fun with it too.
Now ofcourse you shouldnt actually loose money, because than soon enough projects like this wont happen at all.
But now, who has fault here?
Its not the people that “are to cheap” to pay for it, its the fact that you cant make something like this and get out even while only charging a reasonable price.
From an expences point, the price might be reasonable, but not from a “what does the buyer get” point. Its just not right that you have to pay 20 bucks to buy the DVD. Just as it isnt right to pay 20 bucks for a CD of your favorite artist. 2-5 bucks, thats what I couls spend on it, without having to cut back on food and stuff. I just am piss poor. Its not like I download movies to save that money to blow it on blackjack and hookers. Without downloading , I just wouldnt be able to watch anything…
If there is a paypal donation thingy on the homepage of this documentary, people might donate 5 bucks when they enjoyed their downloaded copy. If they are expected to pay 20 bucks for it, the just wont.

And if you are a documentary producer, and youre doing it so that as many people as possible can enjoy it, dont even bring it out on DVD than.. save the costs, and make it downloadable on your site for 2 bucks a download. (atleast as a further option. and dont think about making it a shity low quality wmv file so people will still buy the dvd)

Anyway, if anyone is still reading till now: Check this out if you think you might have fun with it. If you dont… dont!

I saw the screener so no need for this dvdrip. i highly doubt it is you who actually wrote that comment. real movie actors don’t visit this site.

How many people would who download this movie actually go out and rent or buy this movie? It’s not stealing if you had no intent to ever spend a cent on the movie in the first place.

Indie films tend to need more grassroots advertising so people downloading this film is a good thing. Art is about the art itself, not making money.
