AI War is an entirely unique large-scale RTS with aspects of TBS, tower defense, and grand strategy. It features single or cooperative play with as many as 8 humans against a pair of powerful, intelligent AIs. These AIs are driven by an AI Progress stat that players contribute to through aggressive actions such as taking control of planets and destroying key units, forcing tough decisions regarding which targets are worth capturing or destroying. Human fleets are usually several thousand ships in size or larger, with games often featuring 30,000 units at any given time across galaxies of anywhere from 10 to 120 planets. Some games have reached as many as 90,000 units!

The Zenith Remnant is the first expansion to Arcen Games’ hit space-based indie RTS/4X hybrid, AI War: Fleet Command.     Either of these actually work for anyone? This seems to be a fake release.

    The archives are zipped, then the one zip is rarred into about 18 parts, then those are then zipped into separate zips …
    The end result being that the final zip file has nothing actually in it.

    Happens with both releases.

    Hmm, downloaded the hotfile version instead of the torrent and it seems to work. Explanation in the expansion nfo could have been a bit better.
    Unzip first set of zips, then unrar the next set, and that zip file is apparently the update file you select for the Install Manually-Downloaded Update option.

    Expansion file gives ar “File Mismatch” error upon update.

    i get the same file mismatch error, the game does not accept the zip file that is extracted from this expansion.

    When starting the patch installation process, it may give you an error that says the game is not installed or the wrong version of the game is installed.

    It seems that this problem is happening for Windows XP users who have a version of Windows Installer less than 4.5 installed. Newer versions of the demo/full installer include WI4.5 as part of the installation process, but if you have an older version then it won’t have had it. Here is the link for getting Windows Installer 4.5 if you don’t already have it: http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/details.aspx?FamilyID=5a58b56f-60b6-4412-95b9-54d056d6f9f4&displaylang=en Upgrading is free, and it should only be a 3.2 MB download.

    Install the game from this release, and ignore the expansion files, except for the keygen.

    After installing, go to the updates menu in game, then click the expansion file button(only one that says expansion in it) and it will download and install the expansion.

    After its done and restarts, etc. go back into the game, click settings, then expansions tab, then click on the name of the expansion, enter serial, restart game.

    Works fine, no crack needed for that part.

    Horrible job on the expansion release -.-

    DO NOT UNZIP THE FILE…
    It should be named ” ZenithRemnant3001 ”
    If that doesn’t work download the updated
    installer from Microsoft…

    I had to download the game from elsewhere

    So do you need hamachi for this or will it work without? (I know most releases would need hamachi but this is a lower budget game)

    I followed #26 Necroclysm instructions and that seemed to work, even if it did take a while to install.
