Excellent program! I’ve been using it for about four years and it’s saved me hours of wasteful login time. Plus with over a hundred passwords this really keeps it organized.

There’s a version for USB sticks too.

Ya know what, I’ve seen these ’store passwords / password generator’ programs a hell of a lot more in the past 2 weeks than I’ve ever seen before.

It’s a bit fishy perhaps? I all-ways wonder how safe they actually are though as #2 said. But reading people do actually use them is reassuring.

Doesn’t Firefox + Google Toolbar do exactly what this does, but in a more integrated application that your mom could use? What motivation does anyone have for using this?

    @11

Well, didn’t Google Toolbar use to come with spyware? I know I wouldn’t install that crap if you paid me, besides Firefox search box is good enough standalone.

I think ’security’ is the first thing which springs to mind when someone wants to use an external program which is not targeted by hackers and therefore software like this doesn’t need to be updated as often for security threats. And I’m sure software like this uses it’s own uniquely designed encryption code when sending the login details, again not as freely available and loose as FireFox.

And something I mentioned earlier; ‘Generates random passwords that hackers cannot guess’. You don’t get that in FireFox. If you were really secure you would change your passwords every week/month etc. I know I’m lazy as hell and still use some passwords I’ve been using for years! I’ve been wanting a generator for a long time, but that would mean scouting the net for a proggy which doesn’t have any spyware included etc, and I just CBA.

Not to mention keyloggers are appearing more often than not these days, and I don’t rely on Firefox to save every damn password and username I have. So progs like this are ALL-IN-ONES and for under 5meg, geez man!

I’ve recently just been a target of ID theft, luckily not too much money was taken. It only takes a simple human error click to send your details over the web!

So, I find posts like this from the rlslog crew quite important/informative.

The autoformer extension on Firefox that Mr. X mentioned doesn’t seem to work with Firefox ver 2.0.0.6.

This is the best Utility on the market.
Check it out on any review site.
Been using for years. Secure, fast and easy.
    Go to their website.

You can copy out the Roboform data from your My Docs and put on any computer so you can have the same passwords for hundreds of sites on all your systems. Plus it makes shopping online a breeze. Safely stores all your data, address, CC, everything.

They even have a sync utility that works with it so you can sync up multiple computers so they all have the same data all the time.

    MY FAVORITE Tool by far!

IE and Firefox are ok but, how easy is it to lose that data.
