I’m a Ubuntu user and I even though I have used Nero Linux in the past, K3b is a great freeware application for Linux and prefer using this.

my understanding is that it works fine with an iso or image already build
and will then burn it to the options you choose,,,a very unterengeneered version
compared to the window version

toaster,the nero for mac,,is limited the same way,,lacking the full encoding side
in video that nero for window is doing

the serial work,

i tried nero to make video dvd with source-mkv;no message not supported
had to forcequit nero was kaput

then tried with avi file–nero kill himself this time…

the only thing that would be a plus is the way udf files are handle
but i would not pay for this software

looks like it handles audio fine—wait a minute nero is for video

could not make it work on debian from rapidshare download

ask me if want to use wyne even to open keymaker,no thks why use wyne emulator
if you can make it work properly on window

went to nero webpage,download the demo 30 days,works fine.but you cannot
encode video,,is it because of the demo,they only talk can encode audio

a killer application is missing for this package to be ok,video encoding

Mr. X: Try burning a DVD with a file that’s bigger than 4GB. Even if you set it up to use UDF it will fail. Nero seems too handle that without problems. I don’t like it and use K3b usually but sometimes there’s just no other way.

People leave windows to get rid of pointless bloatware crap like this, why on earth would you run on a Linux distro when there are far better free alternatives out there?
