Ahead Nero Burning ROM v9 0 9 4 Multilingual-DOOM

Hooray for this app. It has helped me out a LOT so far, and I’m gonna download this update too. I think we have all heard of this program before but i’ll give you the details anyway. Lol @ the NFO btw: “An totally oversized and overloaded crap burning program. You better use: http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/”.

Nero is a flexible, reliable, and easy-to-use application designed to write both data and CD audio to CD-R and CD-RW discs. It supports ISO 9660 images as well as ISO mode 1 and XA mode 2, and allows for on-the-fly disc recording in addition to overburning (if supported by hardware). Nero also supports multisession and mixed-mode recording, HFS, ISO/HFS hybrid, UDF, PSX, OFAS (optimal file access speed), track-at-once (TAO) and disc-at-once (DAO) writing, digital audio extraction, and more. In addition, Nero can dynamically disable automatic-insert notification, offers support for multiple languages, and works with all major models of CD-R and CD-RW drives. This download also contains Nero’s standalone Cover Editor for designing and printing CD covers.

The latest version now has the capability to burn multiple CDs, Super Video CD, improved audio filters, and much more.

Program Features:

  • Direct access to all features from the project launcher
  • High Definition format support
  • Xbox 360™ and PlayStation® 3 streaming features
  • Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD burning support
  • SecurDisc data protection support
  • Copy a disc with just one click
  • Graphics optimized for Windows Vista™

What are you using for burning guys? I only ever used Nero.

Do you have positive experience with other software? If yes, which ones?

I’m just thinking that Nero is probably good at burning – making good burns. Like no crashes and unreadable discs.. I’m just worried about other software, that it may be buggy.

Anyway.. I thank you in advance for your thoughts on this issue. I would be really happy to find a better alternative to Nero ;-)

I used to like Nero when I firsr started burning bootlegs for the family… but as the nfo said…this software overbloated…. I personally use Ashampoo Burning Studio 8 it’s small has alot to offer and is quick and simple.

ano you can give imgburn a try it’s only 1.5 mb.It burns without failure at least on my PC.Other good program with a more nero look alike is Ashampoo Burning Studio 8.In fact i use them both.

  24. Andrew McDougall
    September 29th, 2008 | 21:42

Although all the nero features and additionals are not needed and there are programs ~10 mb which does the exact same thing people get nero for. I personally never had a single problem with nero, hence the reason why I remain using it.

  46. m0
    September 29th, 2008 | 23:10

lol @ all these amateurs talking about 200MB being “too big” …jesus what are you using? 4.5GB hDD’s??? get real- you can get a computer with a 250GB HD, and decent specs for $300 on craigslist. Get over your wanna-be-l33t-selves. This program has done me well, except for the 7 series, but otherwise….GET THE MICRO/MINI versions if you are SO SO WORRIED about 200 measly MB’s…and as far as functionality, it burns my cd’s/dvd’s in NO TIME- 48X CD? 1.8mins. 16X DVD? 2 mins. You haters just keep hatin’ though. There are other decent burning programs, and I encourage users to try them, but honestly, when the chips were down, and for some reason another program I had didn’t burn or do something right, Nero Mini was my fallback.

  47. mac
    September 29th, 2008 | 23:12

Its not hard, just do a ‘Custom Install’ and de-select everything except ‘Nero Burning Rom’.

That way you ditch all the bloatware, and just install the solid, stable disc burning software its always been.

    September 29th, 2008 | 23:21

This is a fake release… the real TRIAL from Nero’s site is 370MB, so how can this release be half that?

Not to mention that it has over 5 different archive formats inside the download, and over 500 folders, in which are an absolute plethora of files. [which in itself is a good indicator of a dodgey release, or a group that should be banned from the scene]

Pff, Nero died since Nero 7 came out & beside i use Ripbot264 which is better then Nero & does your MP4 in 1080p too & faster too. also it’s free. Nero you will be miss & for burning use Imageburn it’s free & get the job done.

I’m gonna try ImgBurn. Looks pretty good. Second on the list is Ashampoo. If these don’t work out, I’ll get Nero lite ;-)

  54. Mercutio
    September 29th, 2008 | 23:37

This release is increcibly tight packed. The result is about ~1.1GB in size. So there is your “just the burning rom” – unfortunately I detected a Trojan while unpacking, so I think I will just take the serial from the .nfo and try it with the official downloadable trial.

  55. zokier
    September 29th, 2008 | 23:37

I’d be interested in Neros h264-decoder. Heard that it supports AVIVO etc hardware accel. But won’t infest my Windows with full Nero.

What decoder do you guys use for the 1080p x264 hotness? I’m currently using PowerDVD’s h264-decoder, works quite nicely..

    …BTW, unpacking ‘Nero-9.0.9.4b_trial.exe’ (370MB) with 7-Zip, expands it to 1.73GB!!

I still love Nero, but i only install Burning ROM, Nero Vision and Recode… does exactly what i want. Who cares if the install size is a gig or two? Stop whinging and buy a bigger HDD!

    September 30th, 2008 | 01:39

    @ #66 Iron Mask

I have 2TBs of space too… as for being a ‘hog’ i assume you mean system resources? My PC runs swell whilst running Nero 8 (not tried 9 yet) and i’m using Vista x64.

Maybe you need to upgrade your RAM etc, or configure your PC to run smoother.

  69. TonyMotorola
    September 30th, 2008 | 01:45

    After unpacking, Kaspersky reports Worm.P2P.Generic.

Between that and no key for Patent Activation, rendering NeroVision completely useless, I’d say skip this app.

  70. snob
    September 30th, 2008 | 01:49

why_?does it need to much ram yeah ı have 5gb more ram so I extract but there is no (setup) do u understand I didnt installed?

  71. Jonny Greenwood
    September 30th, 2008 | 02:13

@ snob… i wasn’t talking about you… you probably don’t need more RAM (and i believe you’re getting RAM and hard drive space mixed up).

    1. install WinRAR or 7-Zip
    2. highlight ALL the zip files in the download
    3. right-click on a highlighted file, WinRAR/7-Zip, Extract Here (overwrite over any duplicate files)
    4. right-click one of the extracted .rar files, repeating step 3

…you should be able to figure out the rest!

Keys at post #76 by ‘keycodes’ are all tested and working until blacklisted.
Open the Nero ControlCenter in Nero StartSmart by clicking on the “NeroStart” button in the lower left-hand corner.
    Click on Toolbox > ControlCenter.
On the left-hand side, click on “License” and “Add”, in to enter your Nero serial number.
After you have entered your serial number, click again on “Add” to enter the new serial number.
If your full version serial number does not appear, simply highlight your demo version serial number and click “Delete”.
Close the ControlCenter and confirm the following messages
    by clicking “OK”.
Restart Nero StartSmart to activate the changes.

I cant believe the whiners in this thread.

    1. Nero has around 20 different apps in the package, which is why the size is so big.

    2. You dont need to install the entire package, you can select what you do and dont want.

    3. Nero with only the burning software and smart start is around 60-70Mb

    4. Lots of people use the other apps, like Nero Vision (essentially an updated dvd shrink), Backitup (good for disk spanning)

    5. You can run the exe for each program directly, not needing to use the smartstart.

    6. It works great.
