Agnitum Outpost Security Suite Pro 2008 v6.0.2295-UNiQUE

If you don’t want to bother with several security products to protect your PC (firewall, antivirus, antispyware and so on) try this all-in-one suite.

Description: Being online is fraught with dangers: Internet worms, Trojan horses, spyware agents, hijackers and other malware can wreak havoc, causing anything from slow performance to system crashes and full-blown identity theft. To provide you with the kind of protection you need against cyber thieves and online extortionists, you need a powerful firewall.

Your choice in firewalls is one of the most important security decisions you can make. The firewall you choose must be able to monitor all inbound and outbound traffic and protect you from any unauthorized intrusion by rendering your PC invisible to anything that you haven’t specifically authorized.

The award-winning Outpost Security Suite Pro software will provide a vastly superior arsenal of defense giving you the latest in personal firewall technology which makes it the clear security choice for your system.

    I used and abused this software, but the navigation menus and options are all over the place and to me, the whole approach to it was a mess.
    I ripped it off my OS after 3 weeks of playing with it and the security alerts, went back to BitDefender.

    Outpost is one of the BEST firewalls/security programs out today! Combine that with Eset and you have an unbeatable combination! Both are my favorites, with Outpost (with its stealth mode) barely beating out Eset.

    awesome firewall, used it for about 3-4 years… and it has never crashed, nor have i seen any bugs worth mentioning.

    this one is security suite but you can quickly and easily disable and delete useless parts of the program, like antivirus and such… and wtf do you need av for?!

    agnitum is the best firewall in my opinion.

    I agree outpost is great but the AV in here is off brand(Virusbuster? or something like that). Go with Nod32+DefenseWall+(Outpost Firewall or Comodo pro or Online Armor free). I really want to get my hands on Online Armor’s full version with AV(or even just full version firewall without AV) it uses Kaspersky’s AV engine and is rated excellent. Anyone got a working copy of the full Online Armor? It’s really tough to find cracked for some reason, obscurity maybe?

    I love Outpost firewall. I switched over about 2-3 years ago when ZoneAlarm 7 came out and was causing all kinds of problems with bittorrent traffic. Haven’t looked back since.

    Really easy to use and intuitive. I tried Comodo first, but the permission popups were giving me a headache so I then tried Outpost. Highly recommend!

    eh i use avast pro and used to have avast free for years and have been virus free. though i can’t find a decent firewall……you guys say this ones good?

  31. none
    June 14th, 2008 | 02:27

    yea it’s good but get just the Firewall though or kill the AV like someone above suggested. I agree with the comodo pops being annoying but after a bit they die down. Outpost has it’s own list of stuff so pop ups are minimal. Online Armor, Outpost, and Comodo seem to be doing very well in firewall tests.

    Outpost AV and Outpost Firewall are great proggies… However, when they are combined to produce a Security Suite, nasty problems occur after a while. I kept on getting locked out of any Internet usage after 2 - 3 weeks, and what is with minimal settings & firewall disabled. It’s not worth the dramas you have to go through. Although, the first 2 weeks of having it were sheer bliss. At the moment I use Avira.
    The only thing that made me use Outpost is that there is a fully 64bit version of the Security Suite.

    @33. Kaspersky ruled intensive care in my opinions for a friggin long time, till it began producing BSOD’s. So I have it up.

    @41
    I’m not lecturing, I’m just saying that it doesn’t include antivirus (ref. to “all-in-one”). Af far as all we can see from the screenshot it still has only anti-malware.

  43. DaS BooT
    June 14th, 2008 | 11:01

    @43 HI :)
    The anti-malware is a combined antivirus and antispyware for all-in-one malware defense.

    The suite actually pulls regular virus definitions from Virus Buster

    Maybe not top of the class in its anti-virus chioce.

    Tried comodo and not loving it, it is causing computer freezes checked their support forums and bunch of other people reporting similar problems. Comodo has tendency to conflict with other security software not worth the grief.
