Better late than never… I wasn’t sure how many of you would fancy this release but since it’s well known enough to grace many movie sites, maybe it’s worthy of a post. This movie is part of a collection of 8 horror films labeled “8 Films To Die For“. Sounds nifty. If you’re into the whole horror genre, you might want to check out the “After Dark Horrorfest” website, to read more about these flicks.

Edit: This was indeed nuked for being a dupe of the Dec. 2007 release by BeStDivX.

Synopsis: On an otherwise ordinary night, the young Ian Stone encounters a mysterious creature and is forced into the path of an oncoming train. Rather than facing certain death, Ian finds himself reborn into a new life that feels strangely familiar. After his second death, it becomes apparent that Ian is being hunted by an evil presence, and will be forced to die every day until he can solve the mystery of his own life.

    The ONLY reason this one might be longer is because the first release was ripped from a PAL (25fps) DVD and this one was probably ripped from a NTSC (23.976fps) DVD. I say probably ’cause I only watched the PAL-ripped one.

    The Hamilton’s was the best of any of the after dark horror movies. There’s a nice twist at the end of the movie that makes it worth the watch.

    Good lookin on that streaming bitload link Stan! Thats pretty cool. This wasnt something I really wanted to bother with downloading but being able to stream it and watch it instantly is very handy. It sucks that I can’t pause it though! I wanted to get a snack but couldnt pause. I was only 5 minutes in so I came here to say thanks, get a snack, and then start it back up. Thanks Stan-great link!

    Personally, I thought The Hamiltons sucked. The twist was obvious from a mile away and most of the film was just boring. The director didn’t even have the guts to expand on the implied incest between the brother and sister.

    If you didn’t like that one, then what was your fav. of the After Dark movies?

    I liked the Hamiltons because I went into the movie not knowing anything about it except for the fact that it was a “B” movie.

    I didn’t get the “twist” until late in the movie. I just thought they was one f*cked up family. But what was cool, after I got the “twist”. Looking back at one of the beginning scenes, when he doesn’t want to eat the eggs.

    I never did get around to watching The Abandoned, so I can only comment on the others. Out of the seven I did watch, there weren’t really any that I considered great. I’d have to say that my favorite of the bunch was probably Penny Dreadful. I know a lot of people disliked it and the character of Penny did get on my nerves a little, but I felt it was one of the better ones. I was pleasantly surprised that Michael Berryman (the bald gas station attendant) turned out NOT to be the killer.

    Unrest was fairly creepy in spots, but also dragged some.

    The Gravedancers and Wicked Little Things were entertaining, if not great. The Gravedancers seemed like it ripped off a lot of other movies though. It’s been a while since I watched it, so I can’t really remember the specifics, but I do remember thinking it seemed like the creators pulled a bunch of ideas from different films.

    Dark Ride was a poor ripoff of The Funhouse with a lame explanation. Jamie-Lynn Sigler looked nice though. :)

    Rinne/Reincarnation was well done with a nice twist, but the scenes where they were shooting the movie-within-a-movie kind of lost me. Maybe that’s how the film industry in Japan works, but from my American perspective, it just seemed so unrealistic that it kind of ruined my enjoyment of the rest of the film.

    I passed on Snoop Dog’s Hood of Horror. None of the reviews I read were very favorable.
