i don’t understand. i found a full working version i several days, and used it until i found a portable version that works 100%, now i use that. i guess i just got lucky?
Anyone know if that Mac version (under Mac Apps) has a legit version of photoshop with it? Or is it fake like the rest. These CS4 releases are so confusing.
its a headf*ck to unrar, but it works. and if u get an error when running setup.exe, try going into ur registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ADOBE and deleting the photoshop entry then restart.

here are 3 easy steps I wrote up with a little kick in the ass from kitty to help everyone out with Adobe calling home to verify your SN even with Little Snitch blocking it already.
Follow the steps exactly as written, the HOSTS file will be opened automatically in TextEdit and when you save it, it will be automatically written where it belongs. Don’t use “save as” and copy & paste everything in RED exactly as I showed.
Step 1 – Open Terminal and paste in sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts (Hit return and type in your admin password)
Step 2 – In TextEdit add these new lines with

Step 3 – 10.4 users reboot now and 10.5 users open Terminal again and paste in sudo dscacheutil -flushcache (Hit return and type in your admin password if prompted , if your cache was recently reset, nothing will happen)
Also I kept forgetting to add a simple but effective way to test to make sure the blocks are working.
Go into your /Applications/Utility folder and open up Network Utility , click on the PING tab , enter activate.adobe.com into the address box and use the PING button, if the address returned is 127.0.0.1 then you have blocked adobe successfully.
And in case Adobe has already killed your serial number and banned it, you may be able to re-register your Adobe programs by simple removing a single folder , navigate to /Library/Application%20Support/Adobe/ and remove the ssc folder. When I removed mine I was forced to register, so hopefully this will save people some time from having to do the clean un-install crap.

“Normal” Photoshop CS4 is included in “CS4 Design Standard”.

Although Ive deselected all but Photoshop, Bridge and the shared components at the bottom, I get an error telling me to insert the disk.

Retail version of Master Suite has been out for at least a week now. It works fine with keygen, without crack. You just need to at 1 line to hosts. Check piratebay for this.

Which is the file I am supposed to run the installation? So many files and I’m not sure where’s the HEAD.
I have setup.001 to setup.098 but I don’t have the head to unrar it?
I get an error saying I need to insert the CD into c:\ . Tried putting the files in a folder on the desktop, in c:\ , and on a dvd but the error always comes up.

no need to reinstall this if you already got the trial installed (in fact, the files in core release are the same from the trial but without a lot of files -other langs, x64…-), just enter the serial.
if you let photoshop.exe access internet, the serial will be blacklisted in seconds and you need to block the inet access and enter a diferent serial.
Same problem also #60. I don’t believe this is the full version. THERE is no keygen with the files #26… but the keygen #53 supplied works. Almost guys…..I’ll wait for a full working version with a good keygen.
At all: If you read the NFO before installation it will work. At least it’s working for me.

The original release has filenames like cr-xtixx.zip. Once you download them, select all and have WinRAR extract all the files into a new folder. That will give you a new set of files like setup001, 002…. etc. Now just select setup001 in WinRAR and that should get you the installation files. These are all RAR files without an extension.
Once extracted you should see just three files and four folders. Click on setup.exe, install the serial from the keygen and you are good to go. Make sure you follow the instructions to modify your hosts file to prevent connection to Adobe’s activation check servers.

Really? Can anyone verify this? It is kind of pointless downloading the Extended edition if those parts won’t work!
Also, I just tried to download the trial from adobe.com but they said the trial is not open
BEWARE!!! i got an edition from these links wich contains a trojan. Apparently the keymaker releases a trojan into your pc! Malware byte picked up the Core keymaker as a trojan and an exe simply named ” ~ ” in system 32 folder i believe..you better get malware byte and scan your pc just in case we really got more than we expected! Just a friendly reminder…
To 69: if you follow the instructions carefully you will not get those error messages..i did not follow them and got the insert disk error message then i went and installed just as said in the NFO file and it works !!!

UGH. Having the same problems as everyone else. Vista 32. Can’t rename the hosts file on my XP pc and no execution for the setup files. Blocking firewall and renaming the setup file does nothing. I really wish Adobe would f-ing release the trial already and make our lives easier.
@83: Do not us HJSplit or Master splitter to join the .001, 002, etc files. Just use WinRar on setup.001. It will see the other files automatically.
@78: In Vista you have to run notepad as an administrator to modify your hosts file. Right click on notepad.exe and select “run as administrator.” Then you will be able to use notepad to modify your hosts file.
@70: The original CORE keymaker is not a trojan. It is a false positive in Avast, eSafe, GData, TrendMicro & MalwareBytes. These programs are probably flagging Yoda’s Crypter in the file.
@36: The original CORE10k.EXE is also not a trojan. It is another false positive picked up by eSafe & MalwareBytes.
But don’t take my word for it. Do your own scanning and verify online at Kaspersky or other reliable site.
You cannot modify the Hosts file or the Lmhosts.
SYMPTOMS
When you try to change the Hosts file or the Lmhosts file in Microsoft Windows Vista, you may receive an error message that resembles either of the following.
Error message 1
Access to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ hosts was denied
Error message 2
Cannot create the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file.
Make sure that the path and file name are correct.

The key from CORE isnt infected it’s a false positive picked up by anti virus/malware programs due to the packers used.. Anything from CORE is 100% safe…

How about someone repacked it, kept all the files but added a virus? … Only because the file name says CORE it isn’t safe automatically.
Does anyone else have the problem that PS says the serial number is invalid every time you start the program? I can use the keygen for a new key every time, but the next time I start PS I get the same message.
