Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 Proper by ZWTiSO
A very good tool for creating PDF files, Adobe Acrobat, was released in new working version by group ZWTiSO. The previous release from group EchoS wasn’t fully working, and wasn’t either made from retail version. As a bonus, this new release also contains fully working keygen, not just a single serial number. The only issue may be the size, which is imho kinda high for such an application (PDF Factory does very similar work and it has few megabytes).

For everyone that doesn’t want 1GB+ on their C: drive (after updates of every helpfile in every language known by man and hell more shit downloaded) for just converting a few documents to PDF, I STRONGLY suggest PDF Creator (installs a regular Virtual PDF printer) instead of Adobe’s bloatware. At least that was my experience with v. 7 of Acrobat..
The same goes for the Reader, slow and big. Just go with Foxit or any other small, fast and free PDF reader.
There is a tool tha tweaks what Acrobat loads at start (http://www.tnk-bootblock.co.uk/software/index.php?type=supported&id=7F7290B5) between than, and messing around with killing background apps … ver 6+7 worked pretty fast for me.
not sure if this works for ver 8, if not hopefully will be updated soon.

This release should be nuked, the keygen only gives out upgrade serials not full retail install keys. Sticking with the ECH0S rls here.
This release is not too conclusive cause it hasn’t got autoplay. It looks like a compilitaion disc which has the available trial version from the official website … Anyway keygenerator is fine!
The big disadvantage is that it does not support Microsoft Office 2007. You can download an update from Microsoft to fix it but it needs validation.
So we hope it will get a REAL.PROPER which is a real retail 1:1 copy and contain a keygen and has an update for Microsoft Office 2007.

just doubleclick “setup.exe” from the “\Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional” directory inside the image file.
use a key generated by the keygen (actually it gives you 2 different keys). I used the 1st one… afterwards the installation mumbled something about another key (cant remember what it was) – I then wrote the 2nd key and off we go. for activation – see sgraggy’s post.

Remove your internet conection
1.First enter the serial from the first text field of zwt.exe
2.In the next screen select the previous product as
Adobe acrobat 7 professional
3.Enter any of

I assume you already know whats an IMAGE file (else go and get http://www.daemon-tools.cc) . so if you’r mounting the image file and still no .exe inside – it probably fake or something, just get it from newtorrent.info .

Hit generate seriall in kgenerator and you get
2 row of numbers. Use first row as CD serial >
Next> Prog will ask verify: leave checked first flag
Dont check CoNtact Customer service > Next> Prog will

When I initially got this release I didn’t have any instructions with the gen. I got it installed with a serial from the keygen and thought I had it activated, but a couple days later a dialogue box came up wanting me to activate it and saying I had only 5 days left. Use of the keygen at that point failed and I thought it might be due to no longer having the serial I originally installed with in the keygen. I then uninstalled it and tried reinstalling using the instructions above. Even then if I use a new serial from the keygen and then try activating it, I get an error saying it was an bad activation number. I noticed at that point that the type of installation it was trying to do was a “repair” installation. I guess that is different than an upgrade or a new one. I thought shit, I’m f*cked. So I uninstalled again and cleaned the registry of everything I could determine was associated with acrobat. At the next installation attempt, it again failed and said that I now had 4 days left and was still a “repair” installation. The keygen worked no better than before.
So, it appears that once installed and failing activation the program gives you 5 grace days to use it before you have to activate. Obviously there is a registry key that I can’t find that contains the installation information. I can’t reinstall using the keygen until I can wipe the info out of the registry.
I’ve done searches through the registry for “acrobat” but it seems useless. I’ve also tried one of those uninstallers that analyzes an installation. I’ve searched the newsgroups for posts talking about this and also the web. You’re the closest to a discussion I can find.
I really need to get this installed. Does anyone have any ideas?
I got the same problem. Bad initial installation and now I can’t reinstall.
It seems that the original installation info is saved somewhere in the cpu and is hidden or somewhere else.
Let me know when you find out how to clean the file and reinstall again!!

I’ve tried using a registry monitor while putting in the activation code but it generates like a couple thousand registry access lines and I find it impossible to narrow it down. Someone with a lot more experience I’m sure could know where to look though.

I have confirmation from a friend that it works ie the ZWT keygen does its job if you follow instructions [eg g0nz0]
If you want free software maybe you need a bit of “nous” [ie knowledge] to get it.

arghh – I hope that you have not opened Adobe Acrobat professional yet right after installation because that is where I made my mistake. Right after installing (have not opened the program before after install)you have to replace the files given in the zip crack with the ones in your …\Adobe\Acrobat 8\Acrobat\ directory.

How to uninstall AcroPro 8:
Uninstall Acrobat 8. Go into the registry and delete these keys:
(*.*) = everything
Run regedit.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat\*.*
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\*.*
Browse to Program Files -> Adobe and delete the Acrobat folder.
Reboot into safe mode. Run regedit.exe and delete these keys.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\(whatever Adobe stuff is there)
Broswe to Program Files -> Adobe Systems Shared and delete the Service folder.
Reboot and run a registry cleaner (tons of free ones available) to get rid of extraneous Adobe stuff.
Reinstall Acrobat 8.

Bang!!!! it worked first time, thanks for that applejack.
I was using the trial version of Acrobat pro 8 from Adobe’s site.
Here’s what I had to do to install.
1) uninstall the trial
2) follow the instructions from post Post 20 by g0nz0.
a) used an full install key (lower key) from keygen
b) the installer complained that it couldn’t find a previous version
c) entered an upgrade key (upper key) from keygen
The installed allowed me to install the non-trial version.
3) follow the instructions from post Post 11 by scraggy.
A full version of Acrobat Pro 8 is now installed and activated

If you’re having trouble with activation, etc, see the VERY first comment, top of this list…after a few precious hours of life wasted trying to weasel my occasional-use theftware rights out of this hideously overweight software and aggravatingly-obscure keygen/activation procedure, I decided my e-karma was telling me something.
“Nic’s” recommendation is for open-source pdf software that does the same thing as Distiller, but much more compactly, for free, and without all this jive…so why BOTHER with all this e-ritual? I just installed and did a test-drive of “pdfCreator” in way less time than I spent trying to REMOVE Acrobloat 8, after my FIRST failure at getting the keygen to work.

Disclaimer: I’m still using Reader as a companion, only because I haven’t yet installed a freeware open-source alternative like FoxIt. And my only concern so far is that I’ve not been able to figure out how to digitally sign documents created with PDFCreator…my guess is that Reader doesn’t want to acknowledge the “Brand X” pdf, so it sets the security such that signatures are not allowed…but I bet FoxIt (Reader alternative) doesn’t do that.
Now to delete all the AcroCrap…again…

it works!
Disconnect your internet and go to help > activation > activate…. then when it can’t connect over internet it will give you multiple choices. When it does, choose activate over phone and follow Scraggy’s post above as follows:
1. Other activation options
2. Over the telephone
3. Copy Activation Number to key generator – this is the activation number that shows up in the adobe acrobat window. Just copy and paste it into the keygenerator (line 3 – right below the generate serial button)
4. Push Activate button in key generator (lower left)
5. Copy the new serial (this new number will show up in the window below where you pasted the activation number in step 3)over to acrobat-you’ll have to hand type it in-
6. Push Activate button in Acrobat – window should pop open saying thank you for taking the time to activate blah, blah, blah
7. Push Never Register button when asked to register

If this is your first attempt at installing Pro 8, skip the instructions in dion’s post 41. If you have tried to install Pro 8 and failed, you must use dion’s post 41.
Main things you’ll need -
The torrent – http://www.newtorrents.info/index.php?id=13136 , then download the torrent.
The daemon V4.08 – http://www.daemon-tools.cc Open it up and run it. Should install a lightening bolt icon in your taskbar.
Extract the folder “zwtapro8″ in the torrent you’ve just downloaded.
Right click on “lightening icon”, hover over “virtual CD/DVD Rom”, hover over Device 0:, click on Mount Image. Navigate to the “zwtapro8″ folder you’ve just extracted. Select the file “zwtapro8.cue”
Should pull up a window asking you what you want to do. Go to the bottom and select the option that says “Open Folder to View Files”
Open “Crack” folder
Drag Keygen Application to Desktop so you can have easy access to it.
Then…. follow gonzo’s post #20.

For those who is about to install:
Get keygen from 79. You do not need any crack. Just use keygen as written in 83. If you use crack you won’t be able to use Acrobat as virtual printer.
for those who have had bad installations or have failed to use the keygen correctly and cant get rid of the day count on trial, this remedy will help you get back on track.
1 go to http://www.h33t.com and search for “your uninstaller 2006″+crack. Install it
2 If you have uninstalled adobe, it remembers your installation because it leaves registry keys deep in the sub keys. Your uninstaller 2006 finds these and erases them, if uninstalled, reinstall adobe and uninstall it with your uninstaller 2006 for a clean slate.

billy911, according to your post using uninstaller 2006 will delete all traces of Acrobat 8, I just try doing that in a windows XP Sp2 machine and the traces appear to stay in the machine. I try anything I can so far to remove completely the application from HDD, but it appears something is preventing from doing this. I even trying doing some stuff in safe mode nothing appears to work, adobe screw us up in this really, can someone find the way to delete completely this nonesense from the Hard Drive and get the option to activate by phone once again. I do not want to reformat the machine in order to get that options. Your help is appreciated.

Cool. This worked great for me. Another $500 saved.
Don’t try the PDF plug in for IE immediately. Once you have “activated” the product, exit the program completely. I actually ran it and exited twice. Then try your browser and the plug-in should work fine.

I had the same problem as many here. Had Acrobat installed and didn’t activate it before it timed out. Couldn’t get it to uninstall. But I finally got it working by following some of the suggestions here.
1. Downloaded Your Uninstaller 2006
2. Uninstalled Acrobat in Your Unistaller
3. Rebooted
4. Unplugged the Internet Cable
5. Started Acrobat 8 Installation
6. Started the ZWT keygen.exe
7. Click Generate Serial
8. Entered top serial when asked for serial
9. Entered the bottom serial when asked for upgrade serial
10. Finished the install
11. Allow Acrobat to start (don’t worry about the crack dll)
12. Clicked Activate
13. Waited for it to fail to connect to the Internet
14. Selected Activate by phone
15. Entered the Activation number in ZWT and generated answer
16. Used the activation code generated – Worked like a charm
17. Selected never register
18. Done
I had Acrobat 8 running perfectly for some time now. Since 2 days ago though, it seems that an update was downloaded and the key generated by ZWT doesn’t work anymore.
Acrobat gave me a message saying that I am granted 5 days to reactivate the product.
I tried uninstalling using “Your Uninstaller 2006″, reboot, etc, but without any luck.
Does anyone know if there is a newer crack for Acrobat 8 to include newer registration keys?

for those of you who think you’ve sucessfully activated the product, look in task manager (ctrl+alt+del) -> services tab and see if there is a process running called FNPLicensingService.exe
i had acrobat pro 8 installed correctly and it was working, but i uninstalled it because this was loading at starrtup every time, and a fairly exhaustive google search told me that no one knows how to remove this process (it will reinstall itself).
anyhow, this service will verify your registration with adobe servers every time you boot your machine.

I continue to use Acrobat for most applications, EXCEPT for conversion to PDF. Adobe just takes to damn long. This program, I’ve found, does the trick nicely. What a pain in the ass. But I WIN. Haha!! I got the bastards. For those who have the “repair activation problem,” this will do the trick. No uninstall required. No digging down into the freaking registry. No YourUninstaller. No .dll patch. Here’s what you do:
#1 Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet.
#2 See the file, “adobe_00080000_tsf.data?” NUKE that shit.
#3 Restart Acrobat, and it should prompt you to activate the software. Use the ZWT keygen, just like you did the first time, and you’re good to go .
It should be straightforward from here on out. Quickly (from memory, so it will be close to this). Kill your Net connection. Make sure you’re using a retail copy of Adobe, NOT the trial from their site.
Click generate on ZWT keygen
Click change serial on Acrobat
Enter FIRST serial from keygen into Adobe Acrobat
Click verification
Message should display saying that Acrobat cannot find a qualifying product from which you’re upgrading. Fine. Enter the SECOND serial from the Keygen. For the version, select version 6. I think it was professional, but I don’t remember now. Definitely 6, though.
Allow Acrobat to finish installing. When you’re asked to activate, choose the phone option.
Copy the number FROM Acrobat TO the keygen. Now, on the keygen, click the activate button, lower left corner.
Type the activation code that appears on the keygen into Acrobat.
Success. FU Adobe.
IF the above does not work, try rebooting between steps #2 and #3, and continue. IF that doesn’t work, kill the .data file, uninstall Acrobat, reboot, reinstall Acrobat.
One of these is sure to work. Let me know what happens.
Some tips on using the Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro keygen by ZWT:
After clicking the generate serial button, there will be two numbers.
The upper is the actual SN, the lower is for use as the validation serial number for a qualifying project screen.
After starting Acrobat 8 the first time, you will be asked to activate. Choose other activation options then select telphone activation. Paste that number into the empty box below the validation serial number in the ZWT app. Now click activate. Enter the newly created number into the Acrobat 8 activation screen.

I have adobe acrobat 8 with crack in text instructions it gives me a code to enter before during intalation. then says to paste crack included into installation dir over writting the original one. my crack can’t be opened it has a File does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Just wanted to thank everyone for their info.
I downloaded the trial version from Adobe and activated it using key gen, had to re-read some things but it does work…
just remember that the serial number has the version number in the first four digits, so version 8 with be something like 11180-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx and version 6 will be something like 1016-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. Select the software you are upgrading from accordingly.
once you get the proper serials in, it will not activate over the internet and you will need to “pretend” to activate it over the phone. Input the activation number from software into the key gen and it will give you an activation number to enter back into the software.It works beautifully–thank you so much for creating it!
thanks for all the posts, but i am still stuck. I have a vista business ed. Followed all the instructions here, esp post.88, upon reinstalltion, when i try to activate, adobe tells me that i have no trial period left indicating that it still has some info left behind on my comp. after entering the keygen from zwt, i get a message that the keygen is incorrect. obviously i cant proceed any further. tried looking for stuff to nuke as of post.108.This is the folder where the file flexnet is situated. Post 103 solved damn repair activation problem. I recently changed hds and acrobat wouldn’t allow reinstallation, the damn repair activation windows kept coming up, and zwt key generator doesn’t work for that. Nuking the .data file solved the problem, changing the “repair activation” to “normal activation”.

For those of you who are having the “repair activation problem” and are using Windows Vista, Dante’s fix (post 103) is perfect, but I had trouble locating that .data file. After a little poking and proding (I’m new to Vista) I found the file. Here’s where it is:
(First you have to enable viewing the hidden files and folders)
click the ‘Window’ icon > click Computer > open your C: drive > hit the alt button > click on the Tools menu that appears > click on Folder Options > click on the View tab > click Show hidden files and folders > click the OK button
Now that you can see the hidden files and folders the directory is:
C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet
And as Dante said, nuke everything in there and you’re good to go.

The keygen does work for everything! It took me a few days to figure it out! Really, pretty slick–not very intuitive, but slick! When using the keygen, the top set of numbers is the serial number Adobe asks for, the second set of numbers is the qualifying product that Adobe asks for later. Once you open Adobe (after installing successfully), you’ll get the activation prompt. Copy and paste the activation number that is generated by Adobe (below the serial number) and paste that into the keygen, then hit the Activate button on the bottom left of the keygen and it will produce a valid code for activation that you copy and paste back into Adobe for activation.
Again, the keygen is very slick! My hat to whomever created it! Very nicely done! Good luck, folks.

Regarding post 132 and others relaying to “repair activation and 5 days left to register”, the path “C:\ProgramData” is defaulted as “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet”.
For the time being it also looks like rather than uninstalling your previously activated Acrobat when you get this notice, you can just rename (like add a 0 to the start of the file name) or delete the files located under the FLEXnet directory. Afterwards, run the “repair Acrobat installation” located under the help menu in Acrobat.
Once the repair is done it will ask you to re-register, at which time you should select “other activation options” and choose “activate by telephone”. The activation type will then revert to “normal”, for which the keygen will work perfectly.

The solution in post #103 didn’t work for me: I am an administrator on the machine and when I delete this file and restart Acrobat it appears for a moment, then closes itself. The file is created again.
Stopping/disabling the Flexnet service doesn’t help, Acrobat both re-enables it and starts it again when run.
To ZWT coders: Wouldn’t it be easier if the first serial number could be entered manually? Instead, the keygen generates random serials but Acrobat clings to the one entered first into it, so no chance of hitting it again in the keygen. Please use a text edit box so the serial number can be entered mannually, then any acrobat (grace period expired or not) can be used. HELP F*CK ADOBE. Thanks.

Hi again, what worked for me is:
1- uninstall via add/remove programs
2- delete anything ‘flexnet’ from the registry
3- delete anything ‘acrobat’ from the registry; obviously leave things that appear under adobe but have no relation, like ‘photoshop’. PDF printers can also be ignored.
4- delete the flexnet folder under ‘documents and settings etc etc’ as said in post #103.
5- Run installation again. It asks again for serial.
It worked for 15 computers at my office; all had the 5 day grace period expired.
I have Creative Suite 3 Web Premium and I get the “Product License Expired” prompt.
I get to the activation screen I just need an activation #.

When using the zwt keygen after putting in the activation number acrobat generates make sure you click the ACTIVATE button in the bottom left corner and not the generate serial button which i did quite a few times before i worked it out.

hej everybody .. has anyone had the same problem as i?? after i installed adobe acrobat 8 prof. (i installed it in the same way someone above wrote, hw to install it

1. Other activation options
2. Over the telephone
3. Copy Activation Number to key generator
4. Push Activate button in key generator
5. Copy the new serial
6. Push Activate button in Acrobat
7. Push Remind Me Later button

It worked to me! The steps/instructions that were taken as follows:
1.) Open Key Gen
2.) Click Generate Serial. You will be given 2 rows of serial numbers
3.) Copy/Paste 1st row serial number to the textbox and click activate. Message will come up like “Are you kidding me?”
4.) During Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro install, when it asks for serial number (underneath name & organization), copy the 1st row of serial that you received by KeyGen and that you activated in step #3.
5.) Copy/Paste 2nd row serial number to the textbox and click activate. Message will come up like “Are you kidding me?”
6.) It will ask you to activate serial number. Copy/Paste 2nd row serial number from KeyGen. Click Next.
7.) After install completes, launch adobe acrobat 8 pro application.
8.) A window will come up telling you that you 30 days to activate and get new serial number.On the left hand side, there is an option link that reads “Other activation ways” or something like that. There are 2 links but click on 1st link.
9.) Select Activation By Phone.
10.) Next screen will give you the phone number followed by your serial number, activation number, and an area to type in a new serial number.
11.) Copy the activation number that is listed.
12.) Open KeyGen and Paste the activation number on the text box and Click Activate.
13.) KeyGen will provide a new serial number. Copy the serial number from KeyGen.
14.) Type the serial that you got from KeyGen.
15.) Click Next or Finished.
16.) Activation Message on Screen reads “Thank You”.
Your software is ready to use. Next time you launch acrobat8 you won’t see any message asking to renew it. At least I haven’t received any yet.

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet\, find the file name looks like adobe_00080000_XXX.data, delete the data file, then the acrobat will ask you to activate with the normal activation code.
After deleting this file the activation request is set to NORMAL instead of repair

Comment 103 by Dante just saved me from reformatting my hard drive. I did a system rollback because of an unrelated issue and it totally jacked the registration for Acrobat. Dante probably hasn’t looked here in months, but I wanted to add my thanks to him and of course to ZWT for the great program.
Ok…after u install acrobat leave ur internet disconnected and configure your firewall to block internet access of FNPLicensingServices.exe and your acrobat shall work without worrying about it telling you it is not activated

Activating Adobe Acrobat Professional 8
Remove your internet conection
1.First enter the serial from the first text field of zwt.exe
2.In the next screen select the previous product as
Adobe acrobat 7 professional
3.Enter any of

4.In the next screen click activate via phone.
5.Now place the obtained activation code in zwt.exe text field and
click activate.

I am getting an error while installing Acrobat 8 professional. it is error 1305 and it cannot find the “lit.ytr” file. The only thing that is different on this computer than the others I have installed is that it has office 2007 on it. Is this the problem? How do i fix it??? any help would be greatly appreciated!
I’m alos having some problems with Acrobat 8 pro. I got it installed but when I run it after a few minutes I get a message saying the Acrobat 8 can’t be run at this time and to open another suite componnet like PhotoShop. No matter which app I open I can’t get Acrobat pro to stay open. It’s real pain since it stepped on my Acrobat 7 reader and I can’t open any PDFs. Anybody got a clue of what’s happening and how to fix it?

I have already tried Gonzo’s (assuming post #20) serials and none of them worked as of Oct-16-2008 @ 2258 ET.
I am using a computer with WinXP upgraded to SP3 (because this Acrobat Pro 8 won’t work without SP2 as it’s warning said). I have closed all programs and removed the network cable prior to installing the software.
My Norton anti-virus has been updated prior to removing the network cable and when I scanned the burned CD containing the Acrobat Pro 8 ISO the keygen came up in Norton as a ’spybot worm’ virus while the rest of the files are ok.
I’m hoping that anyone with a working serial can post thier results to help others. Perhaps I did something wrong but after reviewing my install process I don’t think I did anything wrong.
Thanks in advance and I hope I’m not the only one with this issue with the above given OS/specs.

1. Other activation options
2. Over the telephone
3. Copy Activation Number (from phone reg page) to key generator
4. Push Activate button in key generator
5. Copy the new serial (below)
6. Push Activate button in Acrobat
7. Push Remind Me Later button
Finding a lost installation serial number for the full version of Acrobat is not easy.
If you use a key finder such as that from Magical Jelly Beanm you will locate the post installation SERIAL number which can be found in the registry (as described below) but it is not the original serial number required to instal the package.
That original serial number is revealed in Acrobat, using Help/About but unfortunately the final set of 4 numbers is missing so it cannot be re-used. This original serial number may not be stored in the registry as a search does not find it (it may be scrambled in some way). I have not tested it but I would imagine that the original serial number (either in full or less the final 4 numbers) is keyed against the serial stored in the registry.
It’s is an interesting question whether the original serial number, wherever that is stored, is stored in full or just in the truncated version.
DEMONSTRATION
This is an Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional demonstration using a keygen to create some numbers (purely for the purposes of this demonstration as I do not use cracked software).
(1) If Acrobat 8.1.0 is installed as a trial and started up, then the help/about screen shows the following initial s/n
s/n: 1118-1026-1991-6785-6042
It can then be activated if the serial number is at hand and a connection can be made to Adobe.
(2) A typical number sequence is as follows:
s/n: 1118-1737-9103-4720-4649-9300 (original code generated for this demonstration by a keygen but properly found on the Adobe product box)
This will be recognised as an upgrade and a serial no for an earlier version will be requested.
earlier s/no: 1118-1215-1504-8698-6237-8192 (acrobat 7)
Online activation fails (because this is not a proper Adobe code) but the activation process does continue with an activation number revealed on the next screen which asks for an authorisation code. A different activation no would be generated on a second install off the same original serial no and therefore a different authorisation code.
activation no: 2457-1144-4650-8883-4985-6934-4319 (machine no 1)
authorisation code: 6156-5675-2832-2828-1628-4319 (machine no 1)
authorisation code: 5242 9384 7374 6960 6438 4319 (machine no 2)
activation no: 2149-0172-3973-7258-6693-6358-4319 (machine no 2)
(3) This will then place a quite different serial no into the registry and it is this number which is extracted by Magical Jelly Bean. An example might be
Registry SERIAL machine no 1) 970787593348173842241808
Registry SERIAL (machine no 2) 970788101273379551217690
Firing up registry editor will reveal that this is stored in the following keys:-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\8.0\Registration
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\Registration
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Repair\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\IOD
Now after activation is successfully completed, using Help/About only reveals the first five pairs of the original serial no.
s/n: 1118-1737-9103-4720-4649
This does not appear to be stored in the registry unless it is there in some scrambled form.
Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet\, find the file name looks like adobe_00080000_XXX.data, delete the data file
