This is offtopic, but i was wondering, where did that lower-case ‘i’ in uppercase names convention come from?

I’ll be getting this one as I havent bothered to update my home pc pdf writer to a 3d one yet.
The funny thing is though that although people in the industry may ask for a 3D CAD file, most of them still have outdated 2d pdf readers and there is no benefit with issuing them with a 3D pdf.

Sigh… Each zip contains a rar. Extract all zips to get a regular r01-r02-rxx bunch of files, then extract them as well to get the image files. Oh, don’t forget to curse the packagers during the process. They deserve it.

Dont loose your time downloading, you can’t extract it because is missing .r00. I dont know why “Again” uploads this software of 269mb,and makes you loose so much time downloding it. I know now that “again” is a Hommo,and that he gets his kiks out of deceiving people. I know where he has his finger most of the time.
I got mine working… I unzipped each one and took the files and putthem into a folder…. then unrared and it all worked gr8 bahhhh
Again, don’t listen to those who claim it’s not working. You need to extract EVERY damn ZIP to get to the regular RAR chain. As for you, Angel, I suggest you learn to read before expressing your hastily devised opinions.
Has anyone else had the problem of the keygen crashing? Ive unzipped, unrar’d and even installed using a serial supplied by the keygen, but as soon as i try and generate an activation . . Ive tried the keygen on a couple of different machines to no avail

I need help. I have installed it with out my ethernet cable hooked up, Used the keygen to get a serial number for installation. Comes up to the activation screen. I click activate by telephone and it goes to the next screen. I copy the Request number and paste it into the keygen and click generate. I type the activation key from the keygen into the activation boxes on the acrobat screen and click activate. The message that I get is the activation number is invalid. I have done this about 10 times with the same results. If anyone has had the same problem could you post a fix. Thanks!!!

Well, after messing with it long enough I figured out how to activate. If there is anyone out there that is a little slow like me, here is how I did it. I click activate at the start up of AA3d and it told me it was unsuccessful. I then clicked activate by phone. Another activation screen comes up. That screen has your activation id. Use the provided keygen and all is good!!
As for me the activation doesn’t succeed as well. The serial works, though. The programs crashes under Vista as well as XP.
So I disassembled the program to find which algorithm they use, and then calculated the activation manually. After that it worked. I don’t know why it’s that hard to write a decent program which doesn’t crash…

The “again” key gives a correct serial number,but fails the activation procedure.
there is one activation code that works for me…. its from lord dark/AGAIN key gen… First, i extract all the files and install. Secod, when you open the adobe acrobat it will proceed to the activation, put the serial number after that it will go to the activation code. i have first an error but i cancel it. it was my surprise it appears there the activation number and the blank activation code. I put the activation number to activation code to the key gen then… i give the corect activation code….

The keygen, does not work, at least for me. The phone activation results in an error message.

Keygen is crap, craches or does not responding when you choose a different location for your phone number.
Worst of all if you get the dam thing from working the keys activation codes that it generates does not work.
Will need to find a better proper working keygen.

The keygen works fine if you don’t change the defaut Phone country. it should be the united state.
I had this working, but a video driver problem damaged the activation. Now instead of a “regular” phone activation, I get a “repair” type of activation and the keygen claims “wrong activation number” Please enter correct activation number

There must be another algorithm for a “repair” activation. I remember the first time I installed this, the activation was called standard or normal and it worked like a charm. If you have had a trial version of this installed before, it must leave some crap behind to mess with the request code it gives you that the keygen doesn’t know what to do with.
I even uninstalled it completely, but have Adobe CS2 suite installed so couldn’t delete all the Adobe license references I ran across in case I ruin the CS2 license as well.

This is odd. I just had the same problem with Adobe Audition 2. A “repair” activation instead of the “normal”, but IT WORKED ANYWAY.
I was expecting to loose the install by using the same KG that was used to activate the original install, but it worked in the “repair” scenario. Audition was reactivated.
Go figure.
I have darkLord’s keygen / activation by phone generator. It doesn’t work if you have ever had Acrobat version 8 (3D or Pro) installed before as the activation process changes from “normal” to “repair”. The repair activation is a different algorithm and the challenge code given by the process will cause the keygen to error, claiming the activation number given is wrong.
I know this from experience.
I installed Acrobat 8 Professional over Acrobat 7 successfully and used it until I found Acrobat 8 3D version.
I installed Acrobat 8 3D version successfully with darkLord’s keygen / activation by phone tool. It was a “normal” type of activation by phone and took place with no problems.
I had a video driver problem and had to reinstall my video card. A glitch on my hard drive damaged the licensing and a “repair” activation was requested by Acrobat 3D. This is when the original keygen failed.
I uninstalled Acrobat and deleted licenses til my CS2 suite needed reactivation, program, by program, (components of the suite separately) until they all worked again, including Acrobat Pro version 7.
Even after this, any attempt to start from scratch with Acrobat 8, either Pro or 3D, results in the “repair” activation request, which of course, cannot be done with the original keygen that came with the original package. Version 8 Pro’s keygen will accept the activation challenge code, but will not generate a successful answer to the challenge. DarkLord’s keygen simply errors when you give it the challenge number, claiming it is wrong.
Obviously, DarkLord or someone else has to come up with another keygen that works with the “repair” type of phone activation. AKA error code 160;41 when you block internet access from the internet activation process. Even not forcing phone activation by simply choosing it, gives a non working situation. There is even a direct link to the adobe site called “FAQ about Repair activation” This, of course, is a blurb about preventing piracy.
It looks like we need a new keygen. I found some very obscure references to Acrobat 8 on the hard drive in things like a file called cache.db. I hand cleaned the registry by searching with registry crawler. I found and deleted any reference to acrobat 8 and it’s product numbers (long alphanumeric keys enclosed by { } )
If I could somehow (short of formatting) get rid of what is causing this, the original keygen MAY work, but I have my doubts. going to version 8 just isn’t worth the chance of formatting to find out it doesn’t work anyway.
If you want the original keygen, I’ll post it, but it doesn’t work with “repair” activations if that is the type you’re faced with.

I had the same problem with adobe 8 (not 3d) and found somewhere that you need to delete the file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet\adobe_00080000_xxx.data ; dunno if it works with adobe 3d, but worked fine for adobe 8 pro
pbalsemao’s suggestion worked for my problem with Acrobat 8 Pro. Thanks a zillion for the solution. I spent 2 days scrubbing hard drive and registry of any reference to Acrobat 8, and deleted FlexNet program too but apparently missed reference in the All Users/Application Data folder.
The Problem was activation mode was “repair” as opposed to “normal.” I deleted the FlexNet files and when restarted Acrobat 8 the activation screen prompted as “normal.”
What triggered it for me was migrated hard drive to new motherboard and had to repair XP. When repairing XP lost right-mouse shortcuts for adobe, triggering a repair installation.
MacroVision FlexNet (piracy protection in realtime) is bound to Acrobat 8 in the program code, and until someone figures out how to unbind it this could be a problem down the road when they decide to arbitrarily shut down all the invalid serials.
I can’t disable FlexNet. It runs as a service on the system. Try disabling it entirely, and Acrobat re-enables it when it loads anyway.
In parallel, DirecTV grew tired of Canadian hacks using bootstrap cards to access their system (which was legal in Canada since DirecTV didn’t have satellite licensed with the government). Their system communicates 2-way with the legitimate cards, including sending software updates, and so one saturday night they quietly uploaded a software update to everyone. On Sunday morning (Surprise, it was Superbowl Sunday!!) none of the bootstrap cards would work. It jokingly became known as Black Sunday. I can see something similar down the road with any accessory application that periodically “phones home.”
In any event, if you have the same problem I did with Acrobat 8 going into Repair Activation Mode, try pbalsemao’s solution.

After Activating Online, it will, fail, so just click on the Activate by Phone at this window, and put the info in and get the activation code.

Got the same Licence Repair problem for Adobe Audition 3.0 under Vista.
Problem solved after I removed B302D000.DAT in:
C:\Users\All Users\Adobe Systems\Product licenses

Just incase anyone is interested - i had the same repair activation problem with adobe captivate 3 580
if you follow the path to the location on your vista box (as mine was) C:\Users\All Users\FLEXnet and delete the data file - you need to be out of the adobe program to do this. then re run the program you can go through the normal activate by phone method without the repair activation method….
I would guess that this flexnet data file would be behind all adobe repair activation problems…
Today ( May 2nd 2008 ) all my installed Adobe CS2 and CS3 stoped working in my PC and my Mac. Got rid of the FLEXnet data and activation worked again. Thank you very much, your information saved the day.

Thank you so much. I had this repair activation issue all of a sudden with Adobe Flash CS3 after installing a new motherboard. I simply changed the name of the adobe_00080000_xxx.data file, and flash forced me to enter a new serial number (which I could gen with the regular keygen, and re-activate via phone). Everything worked out fine, and it didn’t mess up my registration/activation for photoshop cs2. Thanks again!

As per reactivation / repair activation of any CS3 products (maybe CS2, I only had CS3) on a Mac OS X. You have to remove the contents of the directory:
/Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher
If you remove /Library/Application Support/FLEXnet Publisher as suggested above, all the programs will stop working and require you to reinstall. That would waste you a lot of time doing that! Thank god for regular backups, I just restored that folder and was good to go. After you remove everything from ‘Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher’ and then start any CS3 application, it will prefill your old password there and ask for a normal activation, which is a piece of cake!
