@15 for windows use roboform.

unfortunately it doesn't sync with the iphone, but it does sync with windows mobile and usb/u3 thumbdrives. 1password can import roboform files (and some others).

Use that to store your passwords. You create a new Keychain, and give it a password that's different from your Mac OS X login password.

You can store passwords for websites in a new password item. Or store serials, and other sensitive information in a new secure note item.

I don't know why you'd use a third-party application instead of something you already get for free with OS X.

1Password syncs with iPhone using wi-fi, not a company web service. It's with a big difference the most comprehensive password solution available.

Serial is in the nfo file. I wouldn't use a cracked file to store my passwords. Problem is you can block wallet from communicating with its authentication server, but it takes a few more seconds to start.

Integration with firefox/safari and built-in antiphising makes 1password a better application. Wallet has autofill but not so good. The only aspect where Wallet excels is in the iPhone application, because what 1password provides is a web service, and sorry, I won't trust any company with my passwords.

In windows there is a free solution called "Password Safe". It lacks features, but it is endorsed by Bruce Schneier so you know it's safe.

I use 1Password daily, and by the info on this program, that won't change. I have even mapped a multitouch gesture for logging in to sites. Saves me precious seconds everyday.
