For all fans of arcade games, here is a new candy for you. Aces of the Galaxy is small (~50MB) game with impressive gameplay and graphic (if you consider a game size). Also game have highest ratings on various gaming related sites, so there is no doubt in quality. I bet some of you will enjoy it. ;-)

Description: Aces of the Galaxy™ is an old-school arcade thrill-ride! Featuring pick-up-and-play gameplay, the user is thrust into the midst of epic space battles, experiencing over-the-top action in their battle for survival! Play in the third-person viewpoint flying through an intense dogfight. Take control of the gun turret on an AI-driven spaceship and aim the reticule to vaporize waves of enemies.

    By the time the slow-ass UJ page actually finishes loading, I’ve already downloaded half of the file from Rapidshare.. Few lousy euros per month for downloading stuff at full bandwith (100mbps connection pewpew) is totally worth it :)

    By any chance do ye have a joystick attached to your system? If so, unplug it and try the game again.

    You mean 4GB per day right? Your 100mb connection must download that in a couple of minutes. Then what? 24 hours until you can download again! Hahaha! What a rip off. Don’t use Rapidshare.

    To uninstall the game just delete the folder where you unpacked/installed it!…

    I did not the reg-something exe file!…

    VACE is famous in PCRip scene. This is why the game is so small in size cause theyre masters at packing the files in a small size using who knows what compression. I love this. Thanks for posting about christian. and thanks to VACE :)

    (why would you want torrent links to this when rapidshare is free d/l for this one file anyway. you will have it in 5-10 mins.) Sweet………

    @49 estebueno: Thanks. So it looks like the IP the game is trying to contact belongs to RealNetworks (i.e RealPlayer, Rhapsody, etc) instead of Sierra. Does this mean that you have to allow the communication before you get any sound? That seems unusual.

    I have no audio as well, but the audio files are there. Can’t see why both XP Pro/Vista Business have no sound (Sound is turned on and not muted btw)

    How come the setup.bat file that you fun to install isn’t a real bat file?

    It looks pretty fishy and I got a number of error messages trying to run it. Strangely I had an Internet Explorer crash message and I don’t even use it!

    I’ve downloaded this using a couple of different links given here as well as from Demonoid and still no audio.

    There’s no help for this problem on the game maker’s web pages.
