    I still use ACDSEE ver. 5, no strain on the system and it kicks azz.

    Does this system hog?

    yeah this is bloatware, version 5 works 3 times faster and have editor.

    i find it best to use the software that comes with your camera , unless of course you use it with something you bought on ebay :)

    i use fastone image viewer but looking at pictures over a network takes long time can anyone reccomend this post or any other good ones..

    that does not make sense I am running my network via gigabit burning them is a waste of media and e-mail a ton of photos come on dude…

    This is the sole reason why I have yet to switch over to Linux, no app there support browsing file archives such as zip or rar, this one works wonders, I just looove the app.

    acdsee dose not support unicode… im stick with picasa, its free too.

    I have acdsee 8 on my PC. What I dislike about acdsee is its huge thumbnail database. Since I have alot of photos acdsee creates atleast 1GB worth of thumbnail database.

    Does anyone knows which latest version of acdsee that does not use this system of thumnbnail database? I would really like to revert to that version.

    Though one thing I like about acdsee is its ability to batch convert and rename files.

    Best SINGLE viewer out there is still Veuprint pro 8
    I still find it the easiest program to quickly run through hundreds of pictures in a row and delete the ones I do not want.
    The others seem to be good for the collections you already have set up and you want to see more than one of at a time

    I used acdsee since it was first released.
    It has gotten so bloated, I ditched it.
    Now I’m verry happy with the free faststone image viewer.
    It’s like having the pro version of acdsee with the speed of the classic.

    Hi, I have tons of photos, all organized in different folders in my PICTURE folder. I’m looking for an image viewer that is able to slideshow randomly the photos from all the different folders in my PICTURE folder.

    Is ACDSee v.10 capable of doing this? Can anyone recommend such program? Thanks in advance

    Yes, if I remember righ it can do it. (it’d be able to use the single selected folders also for screensaver modality)
    For people with money to spend this, is a great program.
