    Does anyone get the same problem?

    Do not download torrent Acala.DVD.Copy.v2.8.2.WinAll.Incl.Keygen-StarDust.
    Once executed, the ’setup’ program generates a file ‘a.bat’ in the C:\root folder, identified as Zapchast trojan by ESET Smart Security. However, ESET does not identify any threat within the keygen.

    I don’t see how these little DVD copy software companies make it. New DVD movie releases have so much more copy protection these days on top of CSS. Clone DVD and DVD Fab have almost no customer or product support. One company is eastern european and the other is chinese. The only two reliable programs that can copy ANY DVD movie, including new movies are 1 Click DVD Copy and DVD neXt Copy. Its not a matter of preference, this is fact. All the top DVD copy software programs are listed, ranked and compared side-by-side at: http://www.dvdxcopy.com

    @Gary

    That website is an ad for that company’s software. It’s biased to that brand only and doesn’t include any other brands.

    What website are you talking about, http://www.dvdxcopy.com ? They have several different programs including 1 Click DVD Copy, DVD neXt Copy and DVD Wizard Pro. There are three totally different products and companies, check it out before posting.

    I’ve been using DVD Shrink 3.2 for my dvd back up as a one click and go solution the quality of it isnt bad on a dvd5 and I’ve only had a few movies that fail to coppy with it lately so I’m assuming there should be a newer version soon enough.

    There won’t be a newer version of dvdshrink, the maker stopped making it, that means dvdshrink is old and doesn’t get past new types of copyright….but if you use a run anydvd then use dvdshrink, all copyright will then be bypassed.

    I reccomend you get dvdfab…a new update for it just came out yesterday dvdfab 4.0.3.0, it is very easy to use and the quality of the movie is much better than dvdshrink.

    i use dvdfab to rip, then encode n shrink with dvdshrink 3.2. found that the shrinking software is better with shrink than fab.

    When I unrar’d it, McAfee detected a trojan which it deleted, or did it?

    I think its funny how Acala copied almost exactly the program interface as 1 Click DVD Copy 5. Take a look at the screen shot above and the one shown at http://www.dvdxcopy.com/1-click-dvd-copy-burning-software.html

    I like this program. works well. no complaints.

    FYI: keygens and cracked programs are almost always picked up as a security threat. no biggie.

    P.S.

    McAfee gives false positives like a bad pregnancy test. Get a better AntiVirus Program.

    I have been using Acala Dvd for a while now…. It (so far under zone alarm and norton) has never come up as a virus or trojan. I downloaded my copy from the company websight however. It works pretty well for most movies even newest ones. Some movies do cause pixelation of darker screens, but this has been few and far between. Fairly quick and unobtrusive when running which is a plus. All in All I would give it 8 out of 10 stars.
