About A Son 2007 LiMiTED DVDSCR XviD-COALiTiON

Another one for sunday: About A Son is a documentary about the famous guitarist Kurt Cobain. Fortunately, the plot sounds like a decent documentary and it may also appeal to fans of Kurt and curious downloaders. COALiTiON have released a DVDSCR of the movie so the video quality and audio quality will be excellent but do expect the usual stuff (Cropped movie, blurred out watermarks etc).

An intimate and moving meditation on the late musician and artist Kurt Cobain, based on more than 25 hours of previously unheard audiotaped interviews conducted with Cobain by noted music journalist Michael Azerrad for his book “Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana.” In the film, Kurt Cobain recounts his own life - from his childhood and adolescence to his days of musical discovery and later dealings with explosive fame - and offers often piercing insights into his life, music, and times. The conversations heard in the film have never before been made public and they reveal a highly personal portrait of an artist much discussed but not particularly well understood.

Someone who commits suicide living the life he had and leaving
a child without a father (though he was a doped a$$) is better
    off dead anyway.

Courtney wasn’t any better, but se lives and breathes.

Kurt… Rot ok? You weren’t that big of a loss.

apperently its to hard for ppl to believe that someone as famous as Kurt couldhave just shot himself and than hes dead, but no that would be too easy! someone must have killed him and made it look like a suicide. just like 1 person couldn’t kill the presedent, it had to be a group of the most well trained secret service members? ya ok. or the fact that a group of terrrorists took out the WTC, no thats too easy lets say it was a huge gov. conspiracy.

Jimi Hendrix The Complete Story 2007 DVDRip XviD-FiCO

Figured that fits right along side this release.

In this extraordinary film, for the first time Jimis brother Leon takes us through the story of his life, his career and his music. And with contributions from close friends like fellow musician and early songwriting partner Sammy Drain, colleagues from his soul band days Roger Mayler an Mark Stein, road manager Neville Chesters, concert promoter and friend Pat O Day, legendary American rock journalist Al Aronowitz, Seattle music historian Peter Blecha and many, many others, this program offers a unique glimpse of the inner world of Jimi Hendrix and comes a little closer to understanding what made this legendary and timeless artist achieve so much.

Everyone that is 15-40 should download this, warp to 1 hour and 20 minutes, shut up and listen to what he says.

It is some of the most direct, depressing, honest stuff you will ever hear.

This man was so depressed so much of the time but there was one thing. Most of us inside feel exactly the same way.

Kurt Cobain was just somehow straight up and honest with it. He removed the mask that we all display, and the ugliness of humanity was revealed.

Take the time to listen, it might actually change your current path.

Kurt Cobain was a great musician who had alot to say. This documentary, not so great. If you have read the book “Come As You Are”, re-read it instead of watching this. If you have never read the book, read it instead of watching this.

  39. Alli Baba on Heroine
    January 7th, 2008 | 23:56

This is a HORRIBLE documentary tossed together with audio tape(s) of Kurt talking about his childhood resentments and his adult drug abuse accompanied with miscellaneous video of God knows what for the sole purpose of providing Courtney Love with some more money for her smack. I was/am a Nirvana fan, but this documentary is a travesty to Nirvana’s fans and reputation (as if they gave a F*_k anymore). Perhaps if I was an some serious drugs I might appreciate this, but since I was only drunk I found it to be crap.

Alli Baba on Heroine: FarK you mate, that is your opinion and keep it to yourself.

    1. I grew up listening to Kurt Cobain and Nirvana and NO that doesn’t make me a MASSIVE fan. I honestly liked the music and at that time in my life I needed something his music gave it to me.

    2. The guy was NOT a DRUG ADDICT watch this film/doco!!!!
In fact I wish that everyone Nirvana/Kurt fan or not would watch this.

If you don’t know about Nirvana watch it. If you are a Nirvana fan then watch it.

Honestly I have downloaded and watched a heap of movies over the past few years and this one is the only one that hit me hard.. Its a VERY emotional and GOOD film.

Screw anyone that thinks this is crap.. thats your point of view and keep it to yourself. I enjoyed it and want other people to watch this and enjoy it as well.

    End Rant.

    9/10 from me.

Come as you are is a great book, however the autobiography on Kurt Cobain is much better IMO. They’re actually going to be making a A-List movie of it - it’s in the production stages now. The book is called, “Heavier Than Heaven”. It’s a great book.
For all of you who think he was murdered, please read your facts before posting (you can start with the book mentioned above). Kurt Cobain was extremely depressed, and extremely depressed people want to die - period.
Not to mention he even attempted to commit suicide in Rome (or somewhere similar) months previous to his successful suidcide.
What, did Courtney Love planned that one as well? :P

@23…You couldn’t have put it any better

I’m not saying he didn’t take drugs.. he confessed that he took sh1t loads.. However somebody taking them because they are in a world of hell brought on by extreme pain and somebody that takes they to simply get farked up are two different things.

I watched this tonight and thought it was great but annoying at the same time. To begin with I liked the idea of it. Trying to get a picture of what Kurt saw or almost walking in his shoes as he told his story. However, it would have been a better film if there was some stock footage of Nirvana or some interview footage mixed in. If you like the music and want some insight into how a three piece punk band came from obscurity to reverse the corporate idea of what people want to hear. Check it out. Junkie or not … it’s a moving story in his own words.

“However somebody taking them because they are in a world of hell brought on by extreme pain and somebody that takes they to simply get farked up are two different things.”

    The reason is immaterial.
The fact remains, contrary to your idiotic earlier post…he was a drug addict.

cheply made , cash in , from somebody who had a bunch of recordings of kurt rambling on about this and that .
