About A Girl S01E01 DSR XviD-iHT

Just thought I would post this lame show just to be annoying. It has no plot, worthless actors (can also be substituted with bimbos) and… yep it’s filmed in Vancouver. I only guessed that within 3 minutes, but the clue is further given away when I saw a street sign in the background. About a girl is plagued with cheap budget effects and stunts. Not to mention that no one will download this, it’s broadcast on channel I’ve never heard about, and ripped by a group I’ve never heard of. The basic plot of the show is this one 20 something chick who is going to college somewhere, but instead of doing any college shes just prancing around with her new roommates. And also another big plot element of the show is using too much sexual innuendo, possibly to attract a younger crowd looking for some cheap nudity, but when they find out there is none, they’ll change the channel. Anyways, I can happily shut off the playback.

Finally on her own (no parents, no R.A.s), college sophomore Amy Ryan passes up sorority life to share a house with four guys.

Seriously Vancouver is much better than that.
Maybe this is the cure against pirating, show stuff that people don’t like and therefore don’t pirate. What a solution…

If this episode is anything to go by, I don’t give a dime for the channel that broadcasts it.

Sheesh, can’t you go whine about crappy TV on your own blog?

Why all these TV shows get separate posts? They take up the space and wasting the blogger’s time to even mention them.

IMO, they should be posted under one title anyway.

Exactly, too many posts of useless tv so i have to go back searching 6 pages to find anything relevant and worth downloading.

Justification “Just thought I would post this lame show just to be annoying. It has no plot, worthless actors”

so why is it here ?

I agree with #6, all these posts can easily fit into 1, saving time for both the writer and the readers.

I agree as well. Quality shows should get a seperate post though. But who decides whether it’s a quality show or not?

The front page just needs a redesign IMO to show more than it does, show a small bit of text with 1 small image about the size of a box art like on http://www.rlslog.net/day-of-the-dead-1985-720p-bluray-x264-sinners/

to read past the box art and see a bigger pic click read more and then toss the basic links on the front page as well (screens, IMDB, Torrent) if there is more than 1 version limit the front page to 1 and put a link More Download options

    Just my 2 cents

i laughed to see such an obvious vancouver scene recognized — makes me feel kinda good that the rest of you despise the lame shows taped here as much as i do!

whenever i see that gray, dead light in a tv series, i know it’s time to change the channel. it’s home, but i know what’s coming.

….so, instead of complaining about the look of Rlslog and Vancouver, I decided to find out some info about the show and share it with others(not that anyone cares). It’s on the “N” Network (an odd title for a network)that’s aimed at teens who like shows like Degrassi High. It’s “about a girl” who decides to room with 4 guys off campus because her dorm was not too her liking. It has 2 directors that actually have won 1 emmy and had 5 nominations between them (Brian K. Roberts & Pat Williams). The star(Amber Borycki) has been on lots of nighttime TV shows including lesbian action on the “L” Word…..and so far no one the message boards at “N” Network likes the show.

    Re: Jethro
you hit it right on the spot.I would like to think that the majority of shows/films shot in vancouver don’t suck, but the point is the majority really does suck. i guess it goes to prove that the less money you have the shittier your movie or film is going to be. that’s why the film here, because it’s cheap.

    Wrong.

The Canadian dollar is on par with the USA now. Goods and materials in Canada cost at least 20% more than they do in the USA.

They shoot in Canada because the crews are talented, work harder, and have less attitude.

that channel is based out east — http://www.the-n.com/ntv/shows/index.php?id=656 — ooooh yeah.

The last time we watched this station they had a news guy wearing a plaid jacket (typical hunting gear style) and some tinted ray-bans.

As for stuff filmed in Vancouver, there’s lots of really great stuff to come out of here…. like 21 Jump Street… err… movies about Terry Fox…

Remember X-files? During its day it was hottest thing on TV.

What about X-men? A lot of fine big budget movies are shot there.

Worked as an extra on this show so I’d love to have the other episodes posted, in hopes I will see myself. :) If anyone can help me get a hold of them… that would be great!
