When a group of scientists receive a message from outer space telling them to build a computer, they follow the orders with disastrous results. The computer is far more advanced than they imagined and proceeds to build a biological robot, Andromeda, from one of their dead colleagues. Kelly Reilly leads the cast as Andromeda, with Tom Hardy, David Haig, Charlie Cox and Jane Asher also starring. A british drama from BBC Four, scheduled to air on 13 November, packed on 1 CD with Dutch subtitles.

    After watching red dwarf and this is england, i have a new found appreciation for our brothers across the sea. And even ugly British chicks are hot as long as they keep speaking. Plus you guys make the “F” word sound so cool.

    I watched this ages ago when it first aired, it was done live like they used to do programs in the 50s and 60s. It didnt really float my boat I have to say, bit boring. Plus cos it was shot live has a kind of amateurish feeling to it compared to the slick sci-fi we are used to these days.

    Just a note that this show was aired on BBC 4 in the UK on 27th March 2006 and was hugely disappointing. It just drags on interminably and I wouldn’t recommend it as a download. You can read my small review of it here:
