Well if you believe The Departed really deserved the Oscars last year, I can't say I am suprised about what you think of this years nominations.

In your defense, 2006 was a very poor Hollywood year, so maybe The Departed really was the best out of the bad stuff that came out of Hollywood that year...

Well the nominations are ok I guess good to see a movie like michael clayton get a lot of nominations. But on the other hand my favourite movie of the year gone baby gone definitely deserved more noms, and not to mention the total snubbing of zodiac I bet you if it was released in december the so called awards season it would have gotten its due, robert downey jr. atleast deserved a best supporting nod. Also nice to see laura linney get nominated great actor, and ellen page also in the leading role category is a good nomination, I just saw Juno yesterday and it was a very good and original feel good movie but as far as the movie of the year goes, I don't think so I would much rather have gone baby gone there instead of juno or even ratatouille if I may say so.

Also Reitman didn't warrant a best director nod for Juno, coz where the hell is the nom for TIM BURTON dsh!t the way the academy keeps ignoring him its just sick, Sweeney Todd is his best work yet. And I hope Johnny would win in the best actor category coz even though Daniel is great I have seen him play an evil bastard before( the butcher). Whereas johnny does something that is really unique bringing back the old silent movie horror actors in the modern time and not to mention taking the risk of singing for the first time and pulling it off.

And finally in the end I can't finish without mentioned the most ignored and snubbed great actor by the academy Christian Bale, wtf is with the academy for not recognizing this guy for his loads of excellent movies and this years complete snubbing of Rescue Dawn is the final straw, I think this the academy has a personal vendetta against bale or something its uneffing believable.
