51st State 2001 DVDRip XviD iNT-nDn

Group nDn released an internal dvdrip of 2001 action thriller 51st State also known as Formula 51. It’s an average story of a chemist who invents a new drug which is supposed to take over the whole market, starring Samuel L. Jackson in the main role. I’m sure most of you have seen this already but if you want to watch it again, here’s your opportunity.

Elmo McElroy (Jackson) is a streetwise American master chemist who heads to England to sell his special new formula – a powerful, blue concoction guaranteed to take you to ‘the 51st state.’ McElroy’s new product delivers a feeling 51 times more powerful than any thrill, any pleasure, any high in history. But his plans for a quick, profitable score go comically awry when he gets stuck in Liverpool with an unlikely escort (Carlyle) and his ex-girlfriend (Mortimer) and becomes entangled in a bizarre web of double-dealing and double-crosses.

I LIVE in Liverpool and saw a lot of the making of this, good cast, great locations… poor script and far too ‘comedic’, should have made a serious gangster/drug flic… oh well, it could have been far FAR worse! PROS- some decent tunes on the soundtrack CONS- MEATLOAF?!?!

Too bad dumb redneck conservatives are allowed to vote on IMDB, since it’s a very nice movie with a story with a twist and good acting. Should at least be a 7/10 or even more …

    When you walk
    Through a storm
    Hold your head up high
and dont be afraid of the dark

At the end of the storm
    Theres a golden sky
    and the sweet silver song
    of the lark

    Walk on through the wind
    walk on through the rain
For your dreams be tossed and blown

    Walk on, Walk on
    With hope in your heart
    and you’ll never walk alone
    You’ll never walk alone

    Walk on, Walk on
    With hope in your heart
    and you’ll never walk alone
    You’ll never walk alone

The name of the movie is The 51s State, just because the US distributor choose to change the name doesn’t change the official name of the movie. :)

I think this is a great movie actually… It does not take itself seriously at all, which is a good thing for a movie like this. Sort of similar to movies like Crank or Shot’em Up in that sense, only with a little more story and not as bad acting.

Unfortunately, the AVI is encoded with the OLD&BAD divx3-low-motion codec from 1997, which is almost prehistoric in terms of video codec development, so the image is rich in artifacts. Also, the pixel dimensions of the video are only 576px * 240px.
