50 Cent F Justin Timberlake And Timbaland-Ayo Technology (CDS)
A famous scene group C4 releasing mostly hip hop and rap stuff released a brand new single, which will surely become a big hit: Ayo Technology from 50 Cent, Justing Timberlake and Timbaland. You would have a hard time finding a more popular trio of artists right now. The recent success of Timbaland only grows with this release and I’m pretty sure we will see many more hit songs from them. Single Ayo Technology isn’t that catchy as singles with Nelly Furtado, but its melody and lyrics will stay in your mind for a long time as well. This release contains 4 versions of this song, clean, album, acapella and instrumental.
Mr. X’s comment: If you’ve been around the scene, you have definitely heard of chiptunes before. This song uses chiptune samples for the instrumental. Here is a real chiptune (mp3 3.82MB 4:27) , called Summertime part 2, by Manfred Linzner, or Pink. Any one want to make the remix ?
“AYO Technology” is the third single from 50 Cent’s upcoming third album, Curtis. The song features Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. Sources from HipHopDX claim that 50 Cent had to re-work the song because of pressure from Universal Music Group (parent company of Interscope Records) due to the song being too explicit for airplay. The video for the song, which was supposed to be released on YouTube, was shelved as a result of this. The same sources also reported that the song was renamed three times. It was first titled “AYO Pornography”, then changed to “AYO Technology”, and then changed to “She Wants It”. Finally, the song’s title was once again changed to “AYO Technology”.
After the track was released to the Internet on July 5, 2007, most figured it was the common piracy, but instead, 50 Cent has actually released the song himself. Interscope requested all websites/bloggers, which featured the song, and any radio stations beginning to play the song, to remove it. Interscope has stated the reason for their actions saying they want 50 Cent to focus on his previously released single, “I Get Money”.

It’s hilarious 50 hasn’t had a hit in years here in the US. He has Timbaland and JT on his track and it still sounds like an amateurish production.
I’m sure the chavs out there in the UK will swallow this up, though.

I dunno why they are trying to stop this track.. the previous 2 he released were crap and werent catchy enough to be a hit. No wonder teh album has been delayed. At least this track has a bit more of a club vibe to it.
This track samples elements from the Ueberschall 8 Bit Stylez CD [track 16 of CD1] (An expensive sample CD that is sold to musicians of every genre, along with thousands others of its type) and uses synth patches such as the C64 Arp patch in ReFX Vanguard to emulate chiptune synthesizers. (This is what me and some other Timbo fans have decided)… so no stealing here.

I emailed Ueberschall, asking if “AYO Technology” features anything from 8 Bit Stylez CD (”This track samples elements from the Ueberschall 8 Bit Stylez CD [track 16 of CD1]… (This is what me and some other Timbo fans have decided)… so no stealing here.” -some asshole).
Here’s what they answered:
“This is no sample from 8-Bit Stylez.”
And also: “8 bit Stylez includes Chiptune sounds but it has totally nothing to do with the reFX Vanguard. We used hardware to create them.”

I hate how everyone says its stealing when someone uses another persons beat,They oviously have to pay them royalties and get permission to use it first, its not stealing its buisness.Also i think its great that he used a chiptune i had never even hear about this type of music before until i read that he used it in this song.
I think they use Sid Station hardware in this. Timbaland did rip off one demoscene musician track for Nelly Furtado´s “Do It” and that´s true.
