Well, between this and Kanye’s album this is clearly the loser. Not really one catchy song, at least not the first time around. Kanye had about 4 songs that was really catchy right from the start, and even the least catchy song seems better than the best from 50’s album.

Whatever about 50 cent content, the beats are hot. I agree that the youth are easily enfluenced by his lyrics. I stopped listening to what 50 had to say after I heard Piggy Bank when I got The Massacre. But on the real this album is 10 times better than the last one. Beats shine even if 50 is running his mouth talking shit.

I’ve got to say I’m disappointed in these September 11 releases.
Namely Curtis is poop, whilst Graduation is just slightly better.
Curtis has a couple good club bangers [I Get Money, My Gun, Fire, etc etc]. But the watered down tracks are killing it [All of Me, all the Havoc produced tracks].
I understand that many are very fond of Havoc’s repetitive hard hitting beats but c’mon in the end all his beats ever are, beats. There’s nothing else to them all they are is a baseline.
50’s rhymes have also become very preschool and you can tell that his hooks [which used to be his strong point] are even starting to get old.
Now there’s Kanye.
The problem about this album is that Kanye released his two best tracks before the release. Honestly Stronger is an amazing song, too bad I’ve heard it two million times.
The albums also much too soft in certain parts. I just wasn’t feeling the production on these parts. Such as the song I Wonder.
A few tracks that I did enjoy listening to were Champion, Good Life, and Homecoming.
Kanye’s rhymes are fresh as usual in most parts, I did notice a few of his softer songs were feeling a bit degraded though.
So in the end I’d definitely give Kanye the nod. Sorry 50 guess you’re done rapping.

Ok i dont want to get anybody excited or nothing, so please take what i say into serious consideration before making some kind of angry reply. This is for real music listeners. I’ve listened to both Kanye and 50’s album thoroughly from start to finish both multiple times, and the fact of the matter is that 50’s album is indeed better than Kanyes unfortunately. Kanye’s album SOUNDS better. But all you’re getting in Kanye’s album are a bunch of catchy “BEATS”. He has 2 maybe 3 songs where he actually stays on subject with his actual hook, makes sense, and isnt talking about gucci bags and purses. It’s nothing but a great instrumental CD. Hot songs on his album, are Big Brother, Flashing Lights, and Good Life. 50 although his beats arent as near as prestigous stays on subject on every song, and presents a good presentation. Not saying every song he put out is amazing, but he has atleast 5 good tracks coming off his album in comparison to kanye’s 3. He’s just a better lyricist. The problem is that the public is no longer looking for good lyricists.
Regardless, bottom line is, Joell Ortiz crushes them both album wise. Not in sales, cause i’m honestly not sure how much he sold upon release, but he’s by far the best new artist, and is full of promise.
