Pukka’s release was fine. There was nothing wrong with it. this “proper” is BS, although it is two cds compared to Pukka’s one so the video quality will be a bit better.

The audio kinda sucks in the PUKKA release. Though, video is crisp.
I got 20% done of the nuked, surprised to see Pukka being nuked. Probably just a proper for something stupid, correct me if I’m wrong. If it’s out of sync they will prob release a sync fix.

Sometimes the rules don’t make practical sense. So if ASTEROiDS would have named this INTERNAL it would not have been nuked?

According to VCDQuality, Asteroids one was nuked for invalid.proper, whereas PUKKA’s WAS NOT NUKED.

wow PUKKA’s Video looks alot better than this the only thing better on this is the Audio & i garentee OUKKA will Repack it and be much better than this 2 CD crap.
Just watched Pukka’s release. The video is better than Asteroid’s sample, but Asteroid’s sound is better than Pukka’s. I don’t know how that’s possible when Asteroid’s is a two-cd release. Maybe it’s just my eyes, or Pukka pixelated the crap out of their release, but whatever they did (Pukka) looks great. I guess they’ll be a PROPER PROPER by morning.

I downloaded this one, worked fine. Audio was abit ‘crispy’ but if I turned it slightly down the static was gone. Really good video quality and a good movie as well.

R5 releases differ from normal releases in that they are usually a direct Telecine transfer of the film without any of the image processing common on DVD releases, and without any special features. *Wikipedia*

There is a “point” system on the scene, to see who releases the most or something. If your release gets nuked, you get no points for that release.

Some of the rar files are corrupt in the first CD… Can’t tell much difference b/w this and Pukka in Video quality
There’s no major problem with the Pukka release. The static on the audio is hardly noticeable when watching on a TV. It definitely does not detract from enjoying the movie. The picture quality is excellent. Asteroids release has no reason to go into 2 CDs.

Pukka sound has static plus seems a little high-pitched..like a mild case of helium voice. Dreamlight sounds just as bad.
This one sounds ok from the sample.
I can’t unpack cd1 because Asteroids release has a ast-310y-a.r01 of 2.92MB, when it should be 14.3MB. Wtf? I keep getting an unexpected end of archive.
anyone have the a.r01 rar file from the first cd that they can share somewhere? It’s corrupt on the pirate bay download–it’s only 2.92mb, should be 14.3mb. Yu get an “unexpected end” to the archive when you attempt to open it.

@31 (and 2), Yes, region 5 release. Most dvd’s get released faster into region 5 due to piracy. Only one problem, which is that the R5 releases got russian audio (dubbed) which means that they have to place english audio in it, that’s why most R5 releases got bad quality audio (like TS or even CAM audio).
I like this release, it’s better for my 5.1 set, but I’m going to watch it with headphones so ‘ll stay with Pukka one.
Also R5 releases are generally not as good quality, since its basically a TC but made with professional equipment.
With R5 the usual process is:
Film Wheel > DVD
Where as Retail DVD is:
Film Wheel > Video Processing > And a heap of other crap to make the quality better > DVD
Most people just refer to R5’s as rushed DVDs, where as Retail ones are just DVD.

just to confirm – one of the rar files is indeed screwed up but replacing it with the file DjT linked to fixes it.

Jack if you download torrent files, the first thing you should get is WinRar, you will need it. once you have got that, just right click the first file and select extract…to a folder of your choice
