300: R-rated action movie trailer

Yesterday was the highly expected day of “300” movie premiere: this action flick talking about Spartan warriors is really a must see, and you should enjoy its full potential in the cinema. There’s also a brand new “R” rated 300 trailer, which shows the huge potential of this movie: full of amazing action scenes and breath-taking graphic effects. Turn your speakers loud and enjoy this bloodbath!

300 is an adaptation of Frank Miller’s epic graphic novel. Using hyper-real renderings similar to Miller’s own graphically stylized illustrations, the film tells the true story of 300 elite Spartan warriors led by their fearless king Leonidas (Butler), who thwart the charge of Xerxes and his massive Persian army at the battle of Thermopylae. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian foe, leading to the origins of democracy.

I’m a proud Greek that can tell you that the movie was release in the cinemas here 1 days before the USA and yesterday (2nd day) I went to see the movie. Just Great! The history is not 100% real but the movie as a movie is Great! 117 minutes of pleasure. You will not get bored not even 1 second! Give it an 9!

    We are Spartans!

I suggest you all go and see the movie in the Cinemas and not just on your pc. The 6-7 euro that you will give is sure worth it!

You know, in modern times the occupation of Norway during WWII was the most intense occupation in history. Germany needed 400.000 soldiers in Norway to keep the country occupied. That’s more then 15% of the total population.

If for example Iraq had resisted as much as Norway against it’s occupier, USA would need 3.9 million soldiers in Iraq not just 120k…

    From a review (link — http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/09/movies/09thre.html?_r=1&8dpc&oref=slogin):

““300” s about as violent as “Apocalypto” and twice as stupid.”

And that pretty much says it all.

nytimes is stupid. i wouldn’t listen to their movie critic. go watch the movie for yourself and make up your own mine. don’t let some overpaid writer tell you the movie is bad or good. that writer is not you so cannot tell you what is bad or good.

i for one, am looking forward to this movie!

Well, I’ll watch this movie for free as dvdrip, but won’t pay a dime to see it. It will be popular with impressionate teenage boys, but will flop at the box office, which is good — the failures appear on dvds much sooner.

‘The Persians, pioneers in the art of facial piercing, have vastly greater numbers в including ninjas, dervishes, elephants, a charging rhino and an angry bald giant в but the Spartans clearly have superior health clubs and electrolysis facilities.’

‘Its digitally tricked-up color scheme, while impressive at times, is hard to tolerate for nearly two hours (true masochists can seek out the Imax version), and the hectic battle scenes would be much more exciting in the first person. I want to chop up some Persians too!’

‘you can find many of the same themes, conveyed with more nuance and irony, in a Pokemon cartoon.’

‘At present, though, its muscle-bound, grunting self-seriousness is more tiresome than entertaining. Go tell the Spartans, whoever they are, to stay home and watch wrestling.’

Anyone know the release date in the UK?

Sure it looks stupid, but its based on a comic guys and looks like its a full on adrenalin rush, testosterone fuled action epic.

Aw come on stop beeing such intolerant fags. This movie is awesome, it has awesome directors, it’s based on an awesome comic. So that reviewer thought the propaganda shit that Apocalypto was(made by the now insane Mel Gibson) is better than this?
Pull your head out of your ass.

  24. March 10th, 2007 | 23:31

It looks absolutley kick-ass. There are three things that a man looks for in a movie trailer:

    1. Killing
    2. Rock Music, and
    3. Tits

I’m definatly going to see this.

Saw it today in theatre, and it was quite entertaining. You have to suspend all rational belief of course, and just sit back and enjoy the spectacle of the CGI, acting and cinematography. Sort of like matrix series or Independence day, Very fun to watch as long as you’re not looking at it with a purely critical eye.

    2 mil. against 6000-7000
How does that sound for man2man ratio in the most known battle of all times?Simply impossible but it happened in a place called Gates of Fire.
Being a newage Spartan the least i could say for this movie is that is awesome.
Being waiting 2000 years for it :P

Do ya know it is a movie?

Do ya know this is a movie website?
Do ya know it is based on a cartoon?
