300 DVDRip XviD-NEPTUNE
I think one of the most popular movies for 2007 is out on the last and best version. Just found out about a nuke (pdvd asian silver is not retail source), but I will still post it. This film full of great effects tells the Spartan story in the Thermopile fight against the Persians. Many people cannot separate Greek history with Greek mythology and I’m here to tell them that this is ancient Greek history. I saw the movie in the big screen and it was 2 hours of pleasure, just great! I also have to tell you that the story is told as the comic book that Frank Miller brought 9 years ago, not everything is as stated in the history books. Enjoy!
Edit: I would like to inform you all that I just checked the film and I was disappointed by NEPTUNE, I think that the DVDSCR quality is better than this one. So I think there will be a PROPER soon. This was an exception for me posting a new DVDRiP, once I’ve said that I will only work on the “Old DVDRiP” section.

Patrick, take it from Mike, he knows why he posted a nuke. The nuke reasons is that this release is against scene rules, coming from a source that is not accepted as retail DVD. The quality should be just fine.

I think Neptunes DVDScr of 300 was better quality than this. Compare the samples. Then have a look at a real retail DVDRip. The nfo says it was released in region 3 but thats about it.
It was done on a nice telecine machine to be sure but its not DVD quality. Im going to wait.

Ok so the quality might not be up there with the screener, but what is the sound like, is it 5.1 as described? the other one was only stereo so heres hoping!

and while the sound doesn’t clip as easily as the Screener, and is heaps better, its obviously come from some commercial pirates transfer so probably isnt a real 5.1 mix.
Best copy i saw was the streetwise dvdr custom, in 5.1 had english subs , extra’s (a small making of and the trailer) and had a cool menu, on the newgroups tho.
That good i wont be dl any so called dvdrips.
Gone back to newgroups as i have a 20mb download speed now, thanks to virgin media LOL

No better quality than the DVDScr and the AC3 is clearly a (very bad) upmix as in the sample the narrator’s voice comes from the rears. What a waste of bandwidth.

THen comes axxo, who uses THEIR WORK, compresses it, puts it out there at poorer quality (not only video resolution and bitrate, but esp the sound!). Subsequently, all the losers who do not care to maximize quality, but quantity (like they would be able to watch dozens of movies a day, everyday!), will snatch a poor-ass copy and SEED THAT INSTEAD OF THE QUALITY SCENE RELEASES!!! So it does affect all of us: if u’ll check, axxo crap ripoffs are the most seeded, ONLY because they r small. Consequently, more combined bandwidth is going that way instead of going towards the SCENE!!!
So no, axxo is not mediocre. It sux! And it affects all in terms of dload and upload. So, please, think twice before u sing praises or diss people!

sometimes groups can get away with releasing scene stuff as something else. For example, before people started labeling Russian sources as R5/R5 LINE, they would label it TC, DVDSCR or DVDRip. Sources from hotel movies were released as DVDSCR a while back too if I remember correctly. Lets hope a proper scene grp gets this.

Why should I? They have their own legitimate place in the scene. From worst to best for xvids (qualitywise): Cam>TS>TC>R5/DVDSCR (dunno which comes first)>DVDRip. If I must, then I judge them on what they are. You can’t compare a cam to a dvdrip, thats just dumb. Whats dumber is when a movie has just been cammed or TS’d and an aXXo fanboy says something like “the picture quality is crap! aXXo would do a better job!” Uh, how?! A scene DVDRip is nowhere near being released, aXXo has to wait for the goods to show up first before it weaves it’s magic!
Look, at the end of the day there’s no honour among thieves – even within the scene – so there’s really no point in me arguing that scene groups do the things they do to release a movie only to have it reencoded and compressed by aXXo, because you’ll just say “they’re both free but aXXo is smaller so I’ll have the aXXo ktnxbai”.
aXXo can continue to compress 2 disc scene rls into 1 disc for as long as it wants to. It can get it’s praises sung from quantity-over-quality lovers. It’s MY choice, as much as it’s YOUR choice to download an aXXo file. I might not have proof that an aXXo file is a re-encoded dvdrip or DVD-R, but then neither do you have proof that they are not. No one really gives a shit,who releases what and how,since everyone has their lvl of enjoyment in entertainment.
Meaning the quality and the type of movies they watch.
Whoever releases certain movies in what quality is, it’s in the eye of the beholder.
Personally I don’t condone any of this(p2p or rips)but I have seen released movies in original DVD format (by big companies like MGM and a few others and such a shitty quality) what don’t worth the disk they’ve printed on.
I have seen factory prints so shit, that any Axxo rip would look like some godsend manna from heaven.
That is the real reason why all this exist (besides the human nature of trying to have a free lunch all the time lol) and thats the reason why you guys are wasting your time on each other with boasting and badgering.
My advise to you guys is , that use your knowledge to help others (noobs and posers and even wannabes) and leave the pissing contest to those of the lesser fortunate, who knows not what you do.
