30 Days of Night R5 XviD-Nitro
Don’t celebrate, this release isn’t as good as it looks from its name. Group Nitro released an R5 rip of 30 Days of Night, but it’s actually just mislabeled telecine from PUKKA – so still not that good video and pretty bad audio quality (CBR). Everything those people did is a slight adjustment of brightness and contrast (sample: original x this version), otherwise it’s still the same source. Leave the real job to real sceners…
Producer Sam Raimi (”Spider-Man”) brings audiences the terrifying thriller “30 Days of Night,” set in the isolated town of Barrow, Alaska, in the extreme northern hemisphere, which is plunged into complete darkness annually for an entire month. When most of the inhabitants head south for the winter, a mysterious group of strangers appear: bloodthirsty vampires, ready to take advantage of the uninterrupted darkness to feed on the town’s residents. As the night wears on, Barrow’s Sheriff Eben (Josh Hartnett), his estranged wife Stella (Melissa George), and an ever-shrinking group of survivors must do anything they can to last until daylight.

this was actually not so bad. quality is pretty good
If this is the same as the Pukka one it is totally watchable – The picture is pretty good and not too dark – The audio granted is a little muffled but bearable and you get used to it.
The film on the other hand is a massive dissapointment. As far as its standings in the top 200 vampire films this would scrape at around the 100 mark
Yeah, this is a really clean copy of a telecine… Too bad, but still great quality for a cam! Some of the dark scenes are a bit garbled with light green and red, but sitll watchable for the people who really want to see it! and kissoq, there’s a sample video in the torrent file… just select that and download it… Not comparable to an r5, but still pretty nice quality

this is a tc not a ts the difference is that it is copyed from a machine that has the reels from the movie while a ts is a cam with external audio.

Telecine video quality was pretty good the only problem was the sound music was way louder than the dialogue.
Not a great movie to start with. The trailer looked decent but was massively disappointed.

when you open (double click) one of the rars winrar will open and there will be another window on the right side of winrar the comments are in there
Vid = 7.5/10 .. suprising quality from a TS, very watchable
sound = 6.5/10 .. little muffled, but too not bad
movie = 4/10 .. trailer look good, actual movie was just aweful, stupid story with plot holes everywhere… at least the blond chick was hot
way to give away the ending in the screen shot image, not like anyone wouldn’t have guessed though…

This is a TC re-encode not TS!
Never R5???, no better than the Telecine. If you already have that don’t bother with this crap (looking at the sample)

newbalicious: R5 is in reference to Region 5 (ie, Russia) content publishers decided that they’d combat piracy by releasing no frills dvds in certain areas, in particular, Russia (and some other surrounding countries) at or close to the cinematic release of the film.

Downloaded this a while back, but just watched it. Not near as bad as the critics say and pretty good for this kind of horror film. Suspend belief and enjoy!
