The DVD is scheduled to be released on Tuesday… FOX did the same thing for the ‘4 hr season premier” of season 6 which they released on DVD the next day.
I’m gonna wait for the 720p version.

Last year there were DVD screener rips out…I heard all of the radio hosts here on AM radio talking about their screener copies for a week! Wonder why the screener never made it on-line?

No, there isn’t a Blu-Ray coming out
In Britain they are releasing a 2 Disc Special Collectors Edition which doesn’t seem to be coming out in The US, Amazon doesn’t say what’s on it but it’s only an extra £3.
And being as it’s being aired here in Britain tonight, they should have waited and ripped it off of Sky One HD, it’s a much better picture.

i think it’s not cancelled… the 7th season starts when jack is in the us for a trail. The trail he is running for in this 2h special. So the storyline with ctu no more and tony almeida back can still be there.

They were filming Day 7 when the writer’s strike happened. They stopped filming, and started again when the strike was over. Because the filming finished so late and they missed their now customary Jan to June season window, they went ahead to film this prelude to Day 7, so everything in the storyline of Day 7 is still intact.
