Well, as expected, 21 turns up in the form of an R5 today. It showed up on Russian sites earlier and as usual it dosen’t take long for a scene group to sync English audio to the video source. Good news is that well known and respected group PUKKA are behind it and that they have supplied Line audio. This definitely looks like a film that is worth watching. Enjoy it people.

Quality: The video quality of this release looks very good for an R5. It looks very close to a R1 retail DVDRip. Audio isn’t the best. It sounds a bit muffled, but nothing too serious. All in all a very good R5. I recommend you download the sample below before you download the entire release.

    The audio does sound off, kinda like a real “thin” quality to it, almost like it’s in mono instead of stereo. You get used to it once you’re watching for a bit… seemed to help if I turned up the bass control on the audio a bit, as well.

    They use MeGUI or Gordian Knot! Scene don’t really change the colors or sharpen or do anything with the picture!

    There are are very few groups that even bother doing this. And they are under the radar most of the time.

    Anyways the scene merely just crops the black borders and resizes the video according to its proper aspect ratio. And they encode the ac3 -> mp3 or keep the ac3 and mux it with softwares such as gordian knot or nandub.

    I have no idea why people start ejaculating when they see scene releases. The current tdx rules are a b!tch. Movies like 21 fly under the radar with a 646kbp/s video bitrate with 1CD.

    I’m currently watching the movie and i haven’t found any major problems with blocking but i’d have preferred a higher video bitrate possibly with 2 CDs.

    Yea. If you really want to get into XviD visit doom9!! Anyways the scene is only special for getting these fast sources. Unfortunately p2p beats them most of the time with R5 & SCREENERS. But Retail wise, the scene is blazing fast!

    for those looking to tweak the audio, i just opened it with VLC and changed the audio device to “mono” and it made it 10x better. its not “thin” as before.
