Microsoft on Tuesday said it is delaying the release of Windows XP Service Pack 3 because of a newly uncovered glitch. The software maker said there is a “compatibility issue” between the XP service pack and Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System, a retail chain management program for small and midsize businesses. Microsoft finalized the code for Windows XP SP3 last week and had planned to make it broadly available starting Tuesday. “In order to make sure customers have the best possible experience, we have decided to delay releasing Windows XP SP3 to Windows Update and Microsoft Download Center,” the company said in a statement.

The glitch also exists between Microsoft Dynamics RMS and Windows Vista Service Pack 1, though that product has already been broadly released. Microsoft started pushing out Vista SP1 last week via Automatic Updates. “To help protect our customers, we plan to put filtering in place shortly to prevent Windows Update from offering both service packs to systems running Microsoft Dynamics RMS,” Microsoft said. “Once filtering is in place, we expect to release Windows XP SP3 to Windows Update and Download Center.” Microsoft advised those running Microsoft Dynamics RMS to not install either service pack. The company said a “fix is currently in testing and will be available as soon as that process is complete.”

Since several of you requested that I make this a regular thing, I’ll keep this up as long as you like this kind of post and I can find the time to do it. Finals are coming up soon so this will not be an everyday thing for at least the next few weeks, but for now, I’m procrastinating, so you get a list of Tuesday night shows. Now BaTG is starting to progress more into the better episodes. The group goes on a surprise ‘field trip’ to Big Bear Mountain to enjoy some snow. The last episode was one of the mandatory ‘look back’ episodes which was one not worth watching.

It’s little weird to see a dvdrip of such an old movie as Grindhouse, but the retail DVD date was set unusually long after the premiere so you can finally enjoy the retail dvdrip now. Released by German group TRVE, this is actually a rerip – the first version had bad IVTC, which should be fixed now. I guess there’s no need to introduce this Tarantino’s movie, we’ve informed about it numerous times. The movie is rather lengthy (190 minutes), so it comes on 2 CDs only with MP3 audio.

An homage to exploitation B-movie thrillers that combines two feature-length segments into one double-bill designed to replicate the grind house theatergoing experience of the 70s and 80s. In “Death Proof,” a psycho named Stuntman Mike stalks and kills beautiful women with his car. In “Planet Terror,” a small-town sheriffs’ department has to deal with an outbreak of murderous, infected people called “sickos.” A gun-legged woman named Cherry and her martial arts-wielding partner take on the zombie army. The two films will be fused together by fake movie trailers.
