An eagerly awaited gaming title Assassins Creed was released few moments ago by RELOADED. This action game combining adventure elements with stealth features – it’s basically a mixture of Prince of Persia and Hitman. Developed by Ubisoft, this is finally a game worth playing, despite its huge size (6 GB). I would recommend waiting a few hours before downloading this since almost every major PC game released in the last while has been nuked especially RELOADED’s releases. SEPTiC comes around the corner once again with another HDRiP: Sleuth (Limited). This movie has been released in 2007, and had some great reviews back then. I didn’t see this one myself but some of my friends did and they liked it too. IMDB-users aren’t too negative either: 6.7/10. This is a nice movie to have in your HD-collection I guess.

Based on a play, Sleuth confronts two extremely clever British men in a game of trickery and deceit. Andrew Wyke (Michael Cain), an aging famous author who lives alone in a high-tech mansion, after his wife Maggie has left him for a younger man; and Milo Tindle (Jude Law),an aspiring actor, equipped with charm and wit, who demonstrates both qualities once again). When Wyke invite Tindle to his mansion, Tindle seeks to convince the former into letting his wife go by signing the divorce paper. However, Wyke seems far more interested in playing mind games with his wife’s new lover, and lures him into a series of actions he thoroughly planned in seeking revenge on his unfaithful spouse.

A third update from ViTALiTY which was pred this night is a first patch for 2-month old first-person horror adventure Penumbra: Black Plague. We didn’t inform you about this release here at Releaselog as it was quite a minor 1 CD release and the popularity of adventures is constantly decreasing. Anyway, this patch fixes quite a few problems, most importantly game crashes and quest bugs.

Securiity researchers discovered that new malicious code spread through the black market is making its way onto some of the largest corporate Web sites in the world. San Jose-based Finjan, a security company specializing in Web gateway solutions, announced today that it uncovered a database containing more than 8,700 harvested FTP account credentials, including usernames, passwords and server addresses, spread through a malicious toolkit, which cyber criminals use to harvest the information. The information was available for blackmarket trade, along with the NeoSploit version 2 crimeware toolkit, a malicious application specifically designed to abuse and trade stolen FTP account credentials from numerous legitimate companies. The malware is subsequently distributed to other criminals who use the malicious code on high traffic Web sites for their own financial gain.

The whole package, which includes the FTP server credentials as well as the Neosploit malicious toolkit, acts as Software as a Service for criminals because it supports multiple users, Finjan researchers say. Attackers use a sophisticated trading interface to classify the stolen accounts by the FTP server’s country of origin and the compromised site’s Google page ranking. This information enables attackers to determine cost of the compromised FTP credentials for resale to cybercriminals or to leverage themselves in an attack against the more prominent Web sites. Finjan researchers believe that the amount of money that criminals pay for the malware is minimal, likely in the neighborhood of $100. Attackers use the credentials to infiltrate corporate Web servers in order inject crimeware onto the legitimate servers of public companies, government agencies and financial institutions to steal critical information such as pass codes, bank account and social security numbers.

A fairly popular futuristic action game Gears of War was enhanced by new update. Released by ViTALiTY, this is a rather small patch fixing just a few minor glitches and bugs. There’s no notice that you would need update #1 before installing this one, so it should also work on the genuine installation without any patches.

Microsoft Corp said on Thursday it plans to cut prices of its Windows Vista operating system sold at retail outlets in a move aimed at pushing customers to switch to the newest version of Windows. The world’s largest software maker said it plans to lower retail prices for Vista in 70 countries later this year in tandem with the shipment of the first major update to Vista, known as Service Pack 1 (SP1). Packaged versions of Windows Vista sold at stores and on the Web account for less than 10 percent of all licenses of the dominant Windows operating system that sits on more than 90 percent of the world’s personal computers. Most consumers opt to buy a new PC, which comes preloaded with the latest version of Windows.

“We anticipate these changed will provide greater opportunities … to sell more stand-alone copies of Windows,” said Brad Brooks, a Microsoft corporate vice president. In the United States, Microsoft will reduce prices for Windows Vista Ultimate, the company’s top-end operating system, to $319 from $399 for the full version and cut the price for an “upgrade” version to $219 from $259 for consumers who already run Windows XP or another edition of Vista. It also cut prices for upgrade versions of Vista Home Premium, its mainstream product, to $129 from $159. The price cuts vary by country. This price cut may be a good news for users who have problems with their illegal copy after recent security update.

Shortly after that they added Lost.S04E05.DIRFIX.PROPER.HDTV.XviD-2HD. The previous information does not, however, affect the quality of the torrent below, which is without any problems.
