DiAMOND’s newest release features Oscar winner Javier Bardem in the main role and that should be a good enough reason to try it. Frankly, it’s only an averagely rated romantic drama, and with a 139 minutes runtime, will mostly attract fans of the genre. Quality of this 2 CD release is very good.

Synopsis: Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s novel LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA straddles the line between pop and art, and manages to be both a bestseller and a literary masterpiece. With an excellent cast and a timeless story, Mike Newell’s cinematic adaptation strives for that same balance. As a young man in 19th-century Colombia, Florentino Ariza (played primarily by Javier Bardem) falls in love with a beautiful woman named Fermina (Giovanna Mezzogiorno). But an overprotective father (John Leguizamo) and too much reality intrude on their romance, and Fermina marries a successful doctor, Juvenal Urbino (Benjamin Bratt). But a wedding ring–and the passing decades–aren’t enough to dissuade Florentino from his love, even as he beds hundreds of women as he tries to get over his undying passion.

All lovers of teenage comedies like American Pie or The Accepted should stop for a while: Guys from JFKXVID released a dvdrip of STV comedy Bachelor Party 2, which should be pretty much only about wild college life, parties, beer and hot girls. I’m currently downloading this release to check if it’s worth it or not as there are almost no reviews on the net. Will update you later tonight! Update: okey, it’s really bad. One big tittie show, but not even the girls are too cute.

It has been 24 years since the original Tom Hanks-starring Bachelor Party hit theaters, but apparently Fox felt the name-recognition value of that movie was strong enough to sell this unrelated T&A comedy. The sequel’s story line centers on Ron (Josh Cooke), the mellowest member of a group of louts who proposes to his girlfriend (Sara Foster of D.E.B.S.) two months into their relationship. This infuriates his brother-in-law-to-be (Warren Christie), who doesn’t want Ron cutting in on the family fortune, and so our hapless hero is thrown into provocative situations so that he can be exposed as an opportunist. The film moves at a fast clip, but the jokes are lackluster, leaving only the female cast members’ topless scenes as a potential selling point.
