2008 US Vice-Presidential Debate WS PDTV XviD-NOsegmenT

Following my previous post about the upcoming debates, I continue with this second debate. It’s a debate between the two vice-presidential candidates, Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. In my opinion Biden was the winner, but you can read some articles to decide for yourself. Another step forwar for Obama;) . 2 Presidential debates to go! I’m hoping a HDTV version will pop up like with the first one, but for there’s only a PDTV version available for download. PS: the winner of the debate get’s the picture;)

Does anyone actually download these? Does anyone actually give a toss?? I mean, after all, they are only…americans.

Its about time our european media stopped giving us blow-by-blow accounts of the yank elections. They are neither important nor interesting (ie the UK will still get shafted no matter which Noddy is in the White House).

  6. October 3rd, 2008 | 16:45

yeah I expressed my opinion a bit too much, but I think Biden did win, cause he expresses all the facts , and Palin can’t answer them fully

Palin did ok but Biden was just on top of his game, he was in another league. He would have even kicked Obamas and Mccains ass well, if I had to vote based on the two debates (President and VP) then it would be Biden for president. I didn’t know he was this good before the debate.

Our government has lost the initial views of a free society. Neither of them won it in my opinion nor could any of the other candidates that they didnt let into the debate. Simply because we are lost and a big pile of crap, I am leaving this damned country.

this debate sucked almost as much as the first one last week IMO

@9 – He makes a perfectly valid point though… our news is saturated with the business of this election race and has been for most of the year, and it’s not even that close to the election even now. And not many people care as much about who is in the whitehouse, not as much as they do about our own leaders being sorted out anyway.

Dont underestimate the stupidity of America. (im from Mass) the Republicans are very good at running a campaign and have really done very well for McCain, the fact that at one point he had the lead in this election with everything Bush has done is a testimant to that. I think Karl Rove sold his soul to the devil. Its a big problem, the republicans are just so good at campaigning and dishing out those tv adds and information. FOX News has the best ratings of any news channel! Its GOP TV but theyre very good at trying to sound objective and only show bias when they have to, theyre very good at telling you how to think while not actually seeming to do it. MSNBC is new to the bias’ness game and is really being overt in their Bias for OBAMA which i think hurts him. The republicans are very good at campaigning and covering their own asses, Democrats havnt done that as much but under Nancy Pelosi they are starting to.. and that also hurts Obama. I really dont want Nancy Pelosi’s opinions getting more weight. She’ll have a much more sympathetic ear with Obama and i can only imagine what kinda weird expensive projects she’ll be trying to get for San Francisco.

I’m for Obama, i really hope he comes through on his plans to strengthen the Car industry and hopefully help them re-take the lead with car development. Following that a national health care policy that “foots the bill for the more expensive procedures” will really help take the strain of paying for health care off of companies and employees which i think will be great… but hopefully it doesnt affect that quality of care. (im a bit scared being from Mass with deval patrick and MassHealth which is just HORRIBLY run and abused) It scares me a little that Deval promised Mass all these great things but he was doing that using numbers that relied on taxes from a new casino he wanted. HE GOT elected but didnt get the casino and so bye bye went his promises.

Anyways i am for Obama, but i would be almost no matter what when i see McCain. the rest of the world hates him, Barack will give us so much instant credibility/good will from the rest of the world. its an unfair thing for Mccain but it is true. THe world loves him, and he knows he would be the first black president and will try his best to not screw that up and do everything right by us. Sorry im all over the board here… im stoned.

An epic debate between Joseph “I’m a Zionist” Biden and Sarah “I have an Israeli flag in my office” Palin.

Both candidates pledge there total subservience to Israel and the Jewish community as VP of the Jewish satellite state of the US.

Palin looked hawt until she started to speak. It went all downhill from there.

It is crazy that the moderator let anyone get away by not answering the question and give a campaign speech instead completely unrelated to the question at hand. This is a debate, not a political rally. The moderator is to be blamed for letting palin blatantly refuse to answer question. If she can’t answer the question she shouldn’t be given the time. They should move on the the next guy/question.

Palin seems like a vindictive & conniving person. I can’t believe we may have a VP who’ll be giving “shout outs” on national TV. Please do NOT vote for her. I don’t hate McCain as much as I hate her. She was a bad choice for the republicans. At the end of her speech she said she was about “change”. She seems to be mistakenly caught up with the opposing party’s slogan. And this my fellow Americans is the “straight talk” that we can expect from her. Get rid of her and I’ll take another look at McCain.

You my friend are a TOOL. Instead of reading what others have said, form your own opinion.

My opinion is Biden won by a milestone, he talked about the issues…

Palen smiled at the camera, gave a few winks, and avoided the issues.

Palen was catering to a thick redneck audience, who go by appearance rather than substance.

Biden, could not be touched, any accusations thrown his way were quickly and easily debunked. Whereas Palen avoided answering vital questions regarding Mcain’s views on tax and oil.
This is my own opinion. Never go by what the media say’s. So what’s your opinion Dciple?

I have the impression Palin is running for class president not VP. She is trying to be like mainstream american, acting cool and funny and winking several times during the debate. Maybe it would have worked in some other time. Fact is, now it is not time for jokes. Economy is in a mess, people are scared for their savings and the uncertainty of the future. Peoples houses have decreased in value and they don’t trust their banks anymore. Biden was reassuring and decisive while Palin with all her freshness just seems happy to be there and play around. She did a good job, but not great.

    Because your post screams maturity?

The American elections are simply not particularly important, beyond the LulzFactor (ie court wranglings after). FLorida anyone?

Do you think a new president is really going to change anything much for the rest of the world? Except to give us all a new figure of fun. We all know the black dude is a Bob The Builder fan. The goings-on of the chinese government is far more important. That’s where the real world power lies. America is old news.

If you watched the debate you would see for yourself she lost hugely. The bar was set so low for her that all she had to do was speak in complete sentences, which even then there were some times that was debatable. She didn’t answer a bunch of questions choosing to talk about something else like Alaska when she was nervous. Even if the question had nothing to do with it, she did it over and over again.

Biden was clear and made some great points hitting at McCain’s comments and her thumbing her nose at Obama. I wouldn’t want to debate him.

All I can say is, she was waaaay out-classed. It came out today that all of her flubs came about because they followed-up questions on her answers. Which basically means she’s reciting what she’s saying. Well, she was lucky that they didn’t this time, because she looked like she was just holding-on.

Would you really want her to be VP and president if something happened to McCain? Dubya was the same way, everyone said they thought he was a regular guy and they would mind having a beer with him. Oh ya? Well, guess what that moron did to the country? Is there anything he hasn’t screwed-up? Vote for another low IQ intellect that took 7 years to get her communications degree (Palin) so she could read the news, and she where that gets you.

She is an ugly over made up white trash pig, and I wouldn’t be surprised if her downy baby was a result of inbreeding. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Palin’s daughter was impregnated by her Palin’s husband.

And with that note, this longtime visitor is removing his bookmark to rlslog.net. Maybe when you pimply faced idiots grow up you’ll realize that America doesn’t want an affirmative action candidate with terrorist ties who wants to tax the hell out of Americans? Screw you all.

I dont know why all of you are saying how great Biden was in that debate. He made himself and the Democratic party looks like fools. He said quite a few blatant lies and did not answer questions properly. Sure Palin didnt quite talk about what she should have on some of the questions, but she did WAY better than Joe did. For all of you people saying how great Joe Biden did, did you even watch the debate? If you did then there is no way you can honestly say he won that debate at all.

    October 3rd, 2008 | 23:56

Biden won? WHAT debate were you watching?Biden lost the second he started lying. The first lie he told was the myth about the 100,000 cops (The US Dept of Justice has repeatedly stated that it was less then 9,000…NOT 100,000) and went downhill from there.Paulin nailed Bidens butt cheeks to the wall about him flip flopping all over each issue before and after he became the VP choice. She nailed him on his votes. She nailed him on his lie aboput McCain voting against the troop funding (He did ONLY because the Democrats filled it with over 2/3rd pork projects like they did the bailout. I mean exactly what does a museum for wine in California have to do with troop supplies and funding or wooden arrows in Oregon have to do with the bailout…and if you didnt know, BOTH states are Democrat house and senate members) And she alluded to Obama’s head of housing being a former Chairman of fannie may who abscounded with 90 million paid the fine and still kept 50 mill. Or Gorlick, who was a VP of freddie macwhile it was going down the crapper, as his US SAG pick, and the very susp[icious way that Obama got his home and then three weeks later voted for a bill in Ill that benefited the person who he bought his house from that is now under federal investigation. And she nailed him on campaign donations and why their campaign has received over 189 Million dollars from overseas sources that violate federal campaign laws and was promised to return the monies and to this date they STILL have not done so.

SO I ask again, if you think Obama won (when he agreed with McCain over 16 times on McCains policies) or Biden won (when even the NY Times-LA Times-Washington post ALL say Biden had his a$$ handed to him by Paulin) you either have to be an idiot or you were not watching the same debates as the rest of us.

Listen up people. I will explain why a McCain/Palin administration will ultimately give us a BOOMING economy.

We spend more than $200,000 per minute — $13 million per hour on foreign oil, amounting to 25billion a year, roughly. With Palin behind our energy independence, MUCH of that money will be redirected back into our own economy. Thus, instead of making the corrupt arab countries rich, we will be making our own economy rich. Essentially, we will be buying up our own oil and circulating that wealth through our economy! Palin knows how to deal with the oil companies. She has proven experience doing so. She will NOT let them push her around. THAT will be the basis of her VP during the mccain administration, which is EXTREMELY important! If we don’t have some energy independence that means we are DEPENDENT OF OTHERS FOR OUR SURVIVAL! Screw that! I want independence and I’m sure our founding fathers who signed the Declaration of INDEPENDENCE would agree with me!

I’m an Independant & I cannot figure out why Obama is so popular other than because he is pretty, looks good on TV, reads a speech well, & Hollywood loves him. Take the written speech out of his hands & he stutters & loses his way not really seeming to know what he’s saying. He speaks A LOT, yet his speech has no substance. He spent his entire TWO years (yes only 2) of governmental experience as a freshman senator frequently absent from the senate because he was busy getting ready to run for president instead of doing his job as a senator. If you think this is not true, get online & pull up his voting record from the senate & compare it to McCain’s. I don’t like everything McCain & Palin say or stand for, but they are staight forward, honest, & have substance behind their words with a real idea how to get us from point A to point B. Change, change, change…that’s all you hear from Obama. Change what? At least he’s finally starting to say what he wants to change, i.e. healthcare, taxes, troops; yet he is unable to lay out anything resembling a viable plan to accomplish these goals other than “redistributing” my hard earned income to those who do not wish to work for a living. It’s like he’s living a Hollywood fairytale & the media is going to make him president. I cannot comprehend how Americans are so oblivious to how they are being led around by the nose by our media who LOVE Obama. Hey, I know he’s pretty, but come on, please look at the hard facts, voting records, compare experience, etc, before you vote. The proof is in the details. You want Socialism? Vote for Obama.

It’s hilarious how stupid the McCain \ Palin supporters believe their idiotic lies. You call Obama supporters crazy yet you’re expecting things from a group that has no plan and have proven to be lies just by dissecting their “straight talk”. You have McCain who has supported a do-nothing-but-war president in Dubya. A man who has screwed-up everything he’s touched. He’s ruined the economy, has losing wars on two fronts, is starting to consider wars against Iran and Russia, and attacking Pakistan, he ruined relations and the US’s reputation around the world, he did nothing to help victims of Katrina, controlling the media, banning dead soldier pictures of coffins for political reasons, surveilling and incarcerating the US population illegally, caused the hugest deficits ever which may bankrupt the country, etc. I could go on and on with all the horrible things this person who McCain supports has done. Nothing will change with McCain and you know this. Maverick my ass.

A candidate that will freeze spending on everything but the military – which just shows his support for more war above everything else. And you expect improvements? He stole all of Obama’s talking points like “change” and “hope” and some of his concepts, and you expect McCain to carry them out? He can’t even think for himself.

Socialism in a democratic country is not communism. Do you go to school? Look at Canada, Britain, France, Finland, Germany, etc. Almost all of Europe and Asia have universal health care for it’s people and people don’t have to worry about bankruptcy when they get sick. American’s do. Is that really better? I hope you get sick and find out first hand. Just look at all the reports of people who pay for health coverage and then they have to fight for it in the US. People who can’t afford health care so they get dumped on the street. That’s better?
You know nothing of what you talk about yet you open your mouths.
But the biggest question is, that moron Palin who hasn’t a brain in her head was selected, not for her views or intellect, but to steal Hillary supporters. Would you hire a person for any job that said they had experience just by looking at something? As far as I’m concerned everything she says is rehearsed and she’s just George Dubya in a skirt. Look where that likable moron has gotten us now.

It doesn’t matter. Obama is going to win. It’s inevitable now. McCain will shrink away, another I’ll-say-anything-to-get-elected lying politician. The republican’s will lose faith in him and he’s going to retire diminished because of all the lies he’s spouted.

You know what as far im concerned we should elect Barack. First the rest of the world loves him, he gains us instant credibility with some countries and really helps to restore some of our goodwill around the world because he stands for change. It is weird a lot of european countries like him but as long as they do lets use it. A lot of Arab countries are watching the election, if we elect a black “former” muslim they will really think were progressing. A lot of Muslims believe we can be on their side and work hand in hand with them if we just stop our blind support of Israel.

And heres the thing, if he fails and ends up doing worse or looking bad then it works for US (whitey) we can show proof positive that black leaders just dont work, get rid of him next election and “save” the use from this out of control black man.

What debate? She ducked most of the questions, and hardly ever gave a concrete answer to a question. And Biden is a doddering old fool too. I guess America is heading towards the crapper, Obama and Mccain have no answers to todays problems, and the supporters on both sides are just as culpable for what is going to be the end of America as a major power when either of these guys get into the White House. The best candidate for President was John Kerry and America are going to regret missing out by going fot Bush at the last election. Welcome to the third world

    Steve

Your attempt at sarcasm or reverse psychology sucks. Yah, lets feel sorry for the educated man who has all the country’s black politician’s and hope for black people’s future on his back during tough economic times. Maybe the stress will be too great so we should give it to the white man. Lame.
Whether McCain or Obama win, that person will inherit the most screwed-up United States since the depression or the 1970’s Vietnam and the oil shortage. What? You think a guy who has been shot down 7 times and missed the most of the war because he was in a prison camp deserves it because he was a prisoner in Vietnam? Shouldn’t he have kept his planes in the the air rather than crashing them? Do we really want a pilot who couldn’t fly a plane, who doesn’t know how many houses and cars he owns, running the country?

Gotta love McCain’s talking points like he has no skeletons in his closet.

Like the surge is working? No it isn’t. Stop paying the warlords who do the killing to stop fighting and lets see how long the surge keeps working. That doesn’t even matter because people are dying everyday over a lie, and McCain is telling you you’re winning? Plus, what kind of idiot tries to take credit for the first correct military decision on a failed 5 years of war?

And he talks-up the bail-out like he’s the only, yet he noted for it too. Wouldn’t a REAL Maverick vote No? He’s no maverick.

Yah, support a senile old war monger who follows no rules but his own. I can see it now, McCain as president doesn’t care about history, advisers, or common sense – when this “maverick” makes up his mind there’s no trying to tell him that his decision is wrong. Because he waddles to the beat of his own drum. You think the US is a police state now? Just wait for President McCain and his dozens of lobbyists who work on his campaign and his corporate dollar favors.

it wasnt an attempt at reverse psychology… and it wasnt an attempt at sarcasm. I am for the guy… im just telling it like i see it.

Is it true that people around the world love this guy based on so litle information about him? He’s giving speeches all around the world and their are politicans in Africa changing their name to his!! They barely know the guy but its because who he is, what position he’s put himself into (and was sort of put into by fate) thats all im pointing out.

No reverse psychology… not really any sarcasm. Next theirs we should elect him and if he fails the republicans can use it in 2012 to elect whitey. Whats wrong with that? Its true.. might be a little harsh but true.

But honestly im hoping the guy really is change. Im hoping the guys we had before were in the pocket of big companies so much that when Barack comes in he will help us. I like some of his ideas a lot, a lot more then McCains but some ideas scare me as well. Im sorry im not falling head over heels in love with the guy like most of the people voting for him, im on the fence but im leaning towards him. But that wont stop me from pointing out these little things.
