Because it is ripped from HDTV quality, although it does not contain the same quality as HD it does have small improvements from normal PDTV rips.

The source is HDTV, that’s why. If you’re looking for HD stuff then it’s always tagged 720p or 1080p, you don’t look for an HDTV tag when you’re looking for HD stuff.
this debate was pointless, nothing new was said. If anything McCain’s idea of a $5k voucher for health care scares me a bit. But Obama kept constantly saying “i agree with John/Senator McCain on that”

Too bad if you actually look into the issue, in 2005 Bush and the republicans wanted tighter regulation on the growing enormous lending institutions like Freddy and Fannie because of fear of them failing, and congress DEMOCRATS shot down the bill saying that it wouldn’t allow as many poor folks to get (shady sub-prime) home loans.
I know its popular to just blame everything on Bush, but a whole lot of people dropped the ball and it wasn’t just Bush and the evil Republicans.

There is fundamental difference between John and Obama. This debate was very interesting and I am (again) disappointed most people don’t hear how different would US go from this point on with Obama.
The fundamental difference is clear just from biography of both candidates. Simply said, John is all pro military + veteran affairs, and religion, he will invest in it and make from US even stronger and more ruthless military power (something like SSSR before) which will cost US more of your money and even less international respect. That’s all you can see in John.
Obama first job was “community organizer” and he still is. Coming from poverty level and paying for his own education he understands us people, he is down to earth. You can hear that by frases he uses like ‘price of fuel is killing them’ (us people), ‘people of Pakistan has lost respect for US’, and other time he mentioned middle class few times. He is dealing with people- not titles.
Obama on the first place wants to help people inside of US on all levels and this is what John will not do. Actually, John would need more soldiers so if there is more poverty, more poor will enroll in army.
And finally, Obama will invest in education and science which will John not do. John will sent military to secure oil imports, Obama will invest that money in alternative energy research, and the list goes on and on.
I want to add to ffs! that everything George Bush has ever touched has gone bankrupt. now look at our economy. George Bush ran three other companies one being a baseball team and they all went bankrupt. How can McCain say anything about Obama’s experience when this present leader has none and still has none to begin with. And what experience does McCain have with war? He was locked in a cage the whole time. He got caught!

I agree with health care point. Basic health care should be free. US health care system is corrupt and commercialized (thanks to Nixon). I would say, so long you are not sick or with pink slip you will not really care, but the point is, one or both may sooner or later happen to you all. I don’t mind health insurance for rich, but I do mind when hospital throws away sick people on the street because they don’t have insurance in so called “most democratic and richest country in the world”. You will ignore it so long is not your skin in question.

All joking aside, Limbo is right about McCain’s spending to keep the war going. Eventually we will be in other countries no doubt and we will run out of money to fight and manpower. So I do agree with Obama about sitting down and talking with world leaders even the ones that are part of Bush’s axis of evil. In Canada you are taxed for it (They have numerous different taxes PSD GST and so on that you pay on EVERYTHING to pay for this “free” service) In England they tax you directly to the NHS and you see it on your paycheck just like we do with Social Security and our FICA. The Government TAXES you for this and as such since you are paying taxes for it, IT IS NOT FREE.
So where do you stop FFS! If you claim this is a “right” in decent society, then should not having a home be the same? So why not give everyone a home? And since you have to have a source of income to pay for it, why not demand everyone have a job. And since some will have to travel, why not demand public access to transportation or just give everyone a car? And since the kid next door goes to a private school with better teachers, why not require all do the same. You see where this is going? Once you start down that slope of demanding something you want for free and have someone else pay for it, where does it stop? The disabled and the seniors are the ONLY ones that should receive anything for free as they cannot do for themselves (most of them anyway) everyone else should be forced to work for a living. Heck even the military does soemthing for their benefits, and so should everyone else.

I’ve always wondered how much good, comprehensive health insurance in the US costs.
Let’s say $100/month – sounds like a fair estimate to me, yes?
Why not pay $75/month in tax, instead, and have your healthcare on the state? You can bet your health insurance company are creaming more than 25% of your premiums for themselves – the government won’t do that, and they get better buying prices than the private sector, so save even more on running costs.
Also to be born in mind – the US government, right now, spends three times MORE on healthcare, per head, than the UK government does. Yet 75 MILLION American citizens, a quarter of the population, don’t have access to healthcare. Go and look it up if you don’t believe me – it’s all publically available information.

Zoom, no offense but I think your estimate of $100/month is ridiculously low. I can give you statistics from CA, where a family of four with no major conditions and no pre-existing conditions pay on average over $1000/month for two adults and two children.
Further, if you have any pre-existing condition as minor as seasonal allergies you might not be able to get coverage at all except on a group plan.
So, in my opinion, your figures are way off and naive. The problem is much more expensive than that.

Right now the house of representatives is democratically controlled and as is the senate. If Obama is elected, then the Legislative, Executive and Judicial Branches of government will all be Democratic too. The we can see two of the most “stupid” posts are yours and FFS!’s. Why call it “free” if you have to pay for it then? I came from a family of 9 who made do on $80. a week after taxes back in the 60’s and 70’s. We now have one interior dec-one with a BA degree-one with seven properties he owns-one who saved his money so much that he was able to retire at 45-one who is the head of his union at his plant-one who owns three housing developments and one who is retired and takes trips overseas three times a year. ALL of them have a college degree and our parents get anything they want. If we can do it then you can as well and everyone else. We did not sit back and cry that it was society’s fault or blame our homelife. We got off our a$#es and WORKED for what we have.
I am willing to give an hand up, I am NOT willing to give a lifetime of hand outs. If you are able to work, then you either work or go hungry. I dont care if it is flipping burgers. The elderly and disabled are the only ones we should care for, other then children. All else can either work or do without.

Bernanke started off doing the Capitalist approach and left rates unchanged when the bubble burst. It was the CEO of Citi and his lunchtime call that triggered the cutting spree the next day with the emergency rate cut and here we stand with Socialism.
Well I’m Voting for McCain this time around. In 2000 i voted for Al gore in 2004 i Voted for John Kerry. But this time i just don’t like the demo nominee wanted Hilary but oh well. If you listen to me all of your problems will be solved. I may not be American, but I care about American politics because unfortunately it effects the rest of the world. (I can’t wait until China dominates the international economical scape.) I would like to tell everyone to vote Obama. Why? Simple, look at throughout current American politics and who prospers in either a Republican presidency and who prospers in a Democratic presidency. Firstly during Republican presidencies the wealthy thrive. They love to talk about tax cuts, but the average person will see none of these. These tax cuts effect the highest earning people in America. Whereas the democrats will cut taxes for the lowest earning people and increase taxes for the wealthy. Also, the democrats will intro duce a health care system which will benefit everyone. I dont understand the stigmatism towards this. (Maybe someone can explain this to me) I live in England and recieve free health care, abd all perscriptions cost about $10. So if you are an average American why would you vote Republican? Please I would like to know.

Very nice debate, both candidates kept a nice level what surprised me though was their policies for certain issues were not much different from each other. However there still 3 more debates (1 with the VC, should be interesting to see Palin) and a lot of ground to be lost/covered in the race.

I agree with many of the comments here about Ron Paul. I don’t know a whole lot about him, but I do know he is “the man” when it comes to understanding economic problems and what needs to be done. Getting rid of the Federal Reserve would be a good start.
The shameless earmark spending by the Democrats for their lobbyist/special interest groups is completely out of control and needs to be stopped. With all the attention drawn to the mortgage bailout, no one noticed the millions the Democrats earmarked to their ACORN lobbying group. Some of our politicians, especially the Democrats, need to be dragged through the street and hung by the neck until dead! A short list would include Obama, Pelosi, the Clintons, the corrupt financial advisors and all of the mortgage bankers who were trading junk paper for commissions. I’m sure there are many Republicans who deserve such a fate, too, but the Democrats are waist deep in sh!t! Many of them are just dishonest lawyers, each, with tens to hundreds of millions in wealth (not bad for a public servant who, at most, only works 3 days a week). It’s no wonder their friends and associates on Wall Street are rotten with corruption! We need change alright, but it would take nothing short of a lynch mob to drive the point home! Workers in India have demonstrated their resolve with mob rule.
After the housecleaning, we can begin a process of finding honest representatives, a diverse multi-party election system with funding caps and reinstating those brilliant documents called the Declaration of Independence and the “original” Constitution.

@74 If you actually read the post I wrote I did not call Republicans names. I used words that were maybe somewhat rude and inconsiderate, but I was stating the perception that other people have of republicans. I have heard many people call republicans narrow minded, and I do apologise for using stupid as it is very harsh, but maybe uneducated is a better use of language. If you want reasons as to why people think this it has to do with the fact that Republicans generally have a somewhat misinformed understanding of other countries shown in various interviews. Or, the fact that they choose to dismiss certain scientific facts or theories. This view is one of many but I find that the world I am immersed in sees the Republicans in such a light. Just as Republicans see Democrats as superior and intellectual.

@geezer smart Americans used to pay cash to see a doctor, before expensive, incredibly complex surgeries came about. It would cost something reasonable such as $10 or $20. Then we started paying for health insurance, monthly fees of hundreds of dollars, the cost of medical school rose, and surgeries take days. There is no easy solution… if you have universal healthcare you have the government decide if you live or die (over 65 can’t get cancer treatment). In America you can and the insurance pays the majority. Pick your poison.
@ The person who said you have to pay 54 dollars per month that is extremely cheap when it comes to health insurance for kids its like 100 and that’s with the state government paying part of it while an adult can above 300 but usually the business pays for it but then there is the co pay of 20 a visit or 30 for a specialist if you were to see a physcian 3 times or a specialist twice in a month you would have already paid more in just co pays.

And if you had any sense you would read the posts from people IN Canada and England who agree with me…there IS NO SUCH THING AS FREE HEALTH CARE! Canadians and the English pay for it with taxes, as such IT ISNT FREE. They take care of the ones that need it just like we do. SO pull your head out of the dark smelly place you have it in and shwoer, then join the rest of us in reality. And also look at the waiting lists for this. When Blair was PM, he was crowing about the waiting times in England being reduced from 28 weeks to only 16. So imagine 16 weeks of waiting to see a doctor. Go to the Frasier Institute webpage and look at the Canadians wait times..6 months for a masectomy-2 months for a joint replacement-8 months for a transplant-not to mention that if you cannot prove a better quality of life after treatment, they can REFUSE your treatment just like they are doing to the guy in Vancouver BC who needs a liver trnasplant and they have refused him for 5 years in a row forcing him to take upwords of 70 pills a day to stay alive. McCain disagreed with Bush on alot of things, including the torture of prisoners, the fence on the mexican border, last year he pushed to have Russia thrown out of the G8 for their action against the Chezchnians, his views are considered way to the left for a republican, in fact in Arizona they call him Juan McCain. He’s actually a democrat hiding as a republican and is the reason why he and Obama agreed on alot of things in the debate. If McCain becomes president, he will not be like Bush. My brother lives in Chicago, Obama was viewed by most, as not doing anything for his constituants, & reason he was not re-elected in his state. His good with his mouth, but no action follows. He spent most of his time as a Jr Senator raising money for his re-election, & nothing for Chicago’ns. Wake up people Obama is a fake.

First off you have McCain spouting all the ” I’m a war hero, give me your sympathy crap” and then starts speaking about nonsense. What Americans need is a president with some solid policies that will further your country in the future. Obama’s policy on renewable energy, education, and universal healthcare is what you need. Providing individuals with jobs, and the knowledge to read.
In Canada we do get taxed on our health care and that is perfectly fine with me. Why shouldn’t we all have some coverage? You conservative Americans only look out for yourself. I am more than happy to pay my taxes and help someone in need of health care, even if I don’t use it myself. At least I know when I am 80 and without an income, I have health care. Ask some of the European countries they seems perfectly content. I don’t live in one of the best cities in the world for no reason….

History 101
For those that don’t know about history … Here is a condensed version:
Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.
The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:
1. Liberals, and
2. Conservatives.
Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that wa s the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That’s how villages were formed.
Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.
Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q’s and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.
Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.
Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.
Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn’t fair to make the pitcher also bat.
Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud or Miller. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.
Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America . They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.
Here ends today’s lesson in world history:
It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond, and whine and cry about the above before forwarding it along with a pro-Obama message.
A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers and to more liberals just to tick them off.
