Group NeDiVx released a final dvdrip of a nice scary thriller Vacancy few moments ago and you could download it just minutes after the pre from NewTorrents. This is a really nice copy with standard resolution and MP3 audio. English and French subtitles are also included for those who have some problems with understanding. I think most of you’ve already seen this movie through the R5 rip from PUKKA, but those of you who missed it have the last chance now.

A bickering young couple must join as one to escape from a deranged maniac with twisted intentions after checking into a motel of snuffer. It has been a long day for Amy and David Fox. Amid the usual arguments and bust ups, the couple are horrified when their car suddenly plunges out of form leaving them stranded on a lonely highway. According to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, the software giant is on track to break the one billion user mark by the end of the corporation’s fiscal year in 2008. Ballmer spoke at Microsoft’s analyst day yesterday, announcing the sale of 60 million copies of Windows Vista to date, and apparently couldn’t resist another fresh, interesting, and applicable comparison between computers and automobiles.

“The install base of Windows computers this coming 12 months will reach 1 billion,” Ballmer told the group. “If you stop and just think about that, parse that for a second, by the end of our fiscal year ‘08, there will be more PCs running Windows in the world than there are automobiles.

Microsoft COO Kevin Turner was also on hand to reinforce the fact that Vista is, according to Redmond, the most secure operating system Microsoft has ever shipped, with only 12 vulnerabilities reported over the first 180 days (compared to 25 for Windows XP in the same period), and 21 percent fewer support calls for Vista vs. XP, again over the same period. As Eweek’s article details, Vista’s degree of application and device support are also excellent, and the OS contributed $1.9 billion dollars of revenue towards Microsoft’s bottom line thus far in fiscal year 2007.

Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia, the world’s biggest community-written online encyclopedia, announced Friday that he had taken a small step toward his next big goal: a community-programmed search engine that competes with Google. Wales told a group of computer scientists and programmers gathered at the O’Reilly Open Source Convention in Portland that Wikia, the for-profit Internet publishing company he founded after Wikipedia, had just acquired search technology that will serve as the foundation for the new search engine.

The technology, known as Grub, creates an index of the World Wide Web by borrowing the processing power donated by volunteer computers, similar to the SETI@home project that looks for extraterrestrial life. Grub was previously owned by LookSmart, an early Internet directory that has more recently operated as an online advertising company. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Once the Wikia index is built, people looking for information on the Web will be able to submit queries and receive answers from a combination of computer algorithms and community feedback. Wales’ goal is to make Internet search more accurate by revealing the technology behind it. He said he would release Grub’s computer code under an open-source license that allows others to make improvements. Should Google start worrying about its no 1 position? Not yet, but who knows what’s gonna happen tomorrow…

The second new cam of this evening which appeared only minutes after the first one looks little better in terms of both quality and movie. I Could Never Be Your Woman is a romantic comedy which has US premiere scheduled to September 15, so you can enjoy this release with a really nice advance against regular audience. Don’t be mislead by the poster, this is an American movie with Michelle Pfeifer in the main role. As I said, image quality is pretty nice here.

A romantic comedy about a mother (Michelle Pfeiffer) who falls for a younger man (Paul Rudd) and her teenage daughter (Saoirse Ronan) who falls in love for the first time. Directed by Amy Heckerling (”Look Who’s Talking,” “Clueless”), Tracey Ullman plays the acerbic Mother Nature who meddles in their fates.

Not precisely a regular and established scene group, but who cares in these days. JJxvid released a first cam of a new thriller I Know Who Killed Me, which isn’t exactly a superb movie you would like to watch in every case. On the other hand, it offers rude language, cursing, sexuality and even torturing so if you are into something of these, go for it. And watch out, there’s also another drug-addicted magnet: Lindsay Lohan! The good thing about this whole thing is the quality of this cam, which is slightly above the standards in both image and audio. Image isn’t completely sharp and colours are little adjusted but it’s still way better than in case of many other cams.

Aubrey Fleming is a regular high school student with friends and family. One night, she unexpectedly disappears. Two weeks later she is found unconscious in the middle of the woods. When spoken to, her loved ones realize she has forgotten her identity and the personality living in her body is Dakota Moss, a character that Aubrey created in one of her stories for an English assignment. Dakota denies ever being Aubrey knowing that they look identical. Now, Dakota must try to unravel the mystery of how her and Aubrey co-exist and find out who abducted Aubrey that night.
